Probably, so Temple tries that for awhile.

The first thing he notices is light.

Not real light but something like light. It's coming from where Sadde and Kero are.

Oooh. Can he take a "closer" look?

Nnnot really, no.

Can he tell the two apart? Can he sense the cards?

He can! They feel similar but not too much.

After a bit he can also sense the Cards but—not as cards. As their avatars, or even more, as what they really are, distilled magic, the very representation of it.

Ooooh, this exciting. What can he tell about individual cards?

Not much yet! And then the more he waits, the more he can. It becomes clearer and clearer that while even Cards as simple as Shield have a basic underlying "personality," it's nothing like human. There are layers upon layers of magic and meaning behind each of them, and they're much bigger than they look.

(And Kero is shiny. Really shiny. Like, much more than Sadde.)

What do the layers reveal about the cards? Do Kero or Sadde have layers?

Kero and Sadde do not have layers. As for the Cards... it's hard to determine what the layers mean. Some are personality or intent, something about what the Card wants. But others are more abstract and less readily obvious—and shared between some Cards.

Which cards share things? What do the shared things look like?

Windy and Jump share a thing, and Change shares a third thing with both of them. Shield, Through, Twin, Flower, and Glow all share things as well, but Through and Twin share a thing that Glow, Shield, and Flower don't have, and Shield and Flower share another thing, too. Through and Shield share a thing, and Change, Twin, and Glow a different thing.

As for what the shared things look like: themselves, pretty much.

Temple notes all those things and tries to get more. This is interesting. Can he sense further than this room?

Maybe! If there were other magical things there!

Can Temple keep trying expanding his magic sense?

He can! Doesn't seem to help much past a certain point, though.

Temple tries to push further, notices the lack of result and finally decides to drop out of the meditation and tell the results to Kero and Sadde.

"You'll learn to understand it better with practice."

"Any idea what the different layers represent?"

"Types of magic, maybe?"

"There are types?"

"Yeah, one of the groups he mentioned was Sun Cards and Moon Cards."

"What do you mean with sun and moon? What are the other types?"

"I don't know all the types... I know the Clow Cards are organized under the Sun and the Moon, and the four elements and light and dark."

"Okay. Why are Sun and light different categories? Can you tell us individual cards categories?"
