I don't think so? I'm pretty sure my father is not in any way shape or form looking for me, and besides, after we capture all these world-ending cards we should be more than powerful enough to fend off evil sorcerers, yes?

I mean, in case they wanted to capture you to continuously drain the energy out of you so I have to rescue you in Act 3. But I agree. I think we can even use the cards as guards when we sleep if it comes to that. Mom is still reluctant to use magic in case it calls their attention to us.

I think she is just not used to the idea. Dad got her this magic ring that hides her presence from magic detection as long she isn't actively using magic and he didn't explain it in detail at the time.

I tried getting my mom to use some magic but she couldn't so I think she's just really not magical at all.

Mine is. if she is not wearing the ring and I use magic detection she totally lights up. I wonder if it is like harry potter and there are muggleborns and the like, maybe you and mom are that.

I think her ring hides. But something to the effect of "haha, you can't use your sweet magic, but we can, because the cards are better!"

We moved twice that I know of (one to town and one across town) and when she realized what I was doing she stopped talking about it. I know where we used to live and it's quite a walk, but going there would be a good place to start. We should test how far the detection and the compass spells go.
