"Oh, good. I'm still the only one with a way of getting food to them, so we'll need to talk to Satele at some point, but that can wait 'till after lunch or so."

"Probably, yeah."

Is one of those plates for Ana?

Not unless Ana wants to swap her breakfast for the Sith's! Which would probably work poorly all around.

The kobold opens a twineportal to the Sith's cell - she can see him and pass things into the room, but she can't hear him and he can't send anything out of it.

What's he up to?

Attempting to... kick a hole in the wall?

...she hasn't actually checked how that detecting-people-at-range thing works with portals yet, has she. Is sticking the tip of a claw through the portal enough to get his attention?

No, he's not as observant as the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order.

Well, it is enough to let her mage-sense the room, so she can get the location of a good spot on the wall he's kicking and recast the twineportal to let out there. She does that, and then feeds half a breakfast sandwich through the portal.

He jerks back and slaps the sandwich to the floor.

Yeah, that's fair. She waits a bit for him to relax, eating some of her own breakfast while she does, before trying again with the other half.

Same reaction. He seems to be saying something. It's probably not very nice, going by the expression on his face.

The kobold is pleased with her decision not to include sound transference in this portal.

She finishes her breakfast before trying again, this time with a piece of cafeteria-sourced fruit.

The fruit is hurled back at the area it emerged from. It splats on the wall, leaving a stain.

Sigh.

She sets the portal back to its original location and repeats the clawtip trick to check the Sith's mental state. Rage, she's expecting, but anything else? And how hungry is he? She's been assuming it wasn't safe enough to feed him much if anything, before, but maybe she's wrong about that.

Anger with a side order of helplessness. He doesn't seem to be especially hungry.

Huh, okay. Off to class, then, and she'll check on him again afterward.

Class time! Does the kobold have anything new to teach today?

Yup! Now that she's seen the Sith and knows what to look for, she can bring in various magical items from her collection that have similar properties, and talk about how to detect them.

Fun! All the Jedi present are familiar with the outlines of Sith philosophy, they do not find the way their Force use differs from the Jedi surprising.

Cool.

That and casting practice should easily take up the morning.

Easily.

Are there plans for lunch?

Not especially. The kobold might be distracted again, though. (She's never been this responsible for someone before, it's taking some getting used to.)

Ana will head for the cafeteria, then. She notices the kobold is not entirely present.

"You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. It's just finally sinking in that I'm keeping someone prisoner; I never expected to be on this side of something like that."

"It's only a couple days. Just until the droids finish."

The kobold gives a dubious nod. "That'll help, sure, but I'm not sure they're going to be that much happier about it." She shrugs. "Maybe when there's more of them and they can focus on each other instead of the situation so much."
