"If you say so. You've certainly been closer to them for longer than I ever have."

Nod. "It's not really my story to tell, but one of the first things Satele did with me was put me in a position to help with that. They can be pretty sneaky when they want to." She grins.

"And have you made much progress?"

"Some. Them seeing me come talk to you and go back okay helped a lot."

"Good."

Grin. "Yeah."

"So. The teleportation form."

"Yeah." She considers.

"I actually kind of like you, not as a friend exactly, but. The Jedi have a holocron that Revan made, I assume you know that story? They told me once that all Sith are traumatized, and... yeah, I see it, but you carry it well; kind of like me, in some ways. You've chosen what you want to be, and you're very much that. We chose to be very different things, but it's still something I understand and find easy to respect and sympathize with. And when I think about that, yeah, I want to see you have all the advantages I can give you." She's grinning as she finishes speaking.

Occlus matches her smile.

Hand?

Hand.

The teleportation form is fractally, dizzyingly intricate; delicate and beautiful. It seems like it could be the work of years to learn the whole thing.

Well. Occlus doesn't want to wait years. She wants it now. She sets her whole mind to the task of absorbing as much as possible, understanding can come in time, she needs to have all the raw information.

The kobold holds the trance. "If I'm not back by dinner, they'll worry about me," she points out, because of course Occlus has figured out hearing while trancing by now. "But I can come back in a couple days if it takes you longer than that."

"My time sense is less than acute while tracing," says Occlus softly. She's not going to spare the concentration to pitch her voice correctly. "Alert me when we reach that deadline."

"Okay."

It does take that long; even at Occlus' speed it's going to take several days. The kobold gives her a fifteen minute warning, and a five minute one, and then lets her break the trance when it's time.

She's still grinning, just a little, when she comes out of hers.

So is Occlus.

"I have some but not all. You will return?"

She nods, and explains her schedule for the next few days - she'll be back in the afternoon the day after tomorrow, and then again in three days, plus she can come by for a couple hours most nights after dinner.

"Good. I will be here."

"I'd hate to see what kind of monster I'd have to fight to get you back if you weren't," the kobold teases, and then bows. "See you then."

Occlus nods in acknowledgement. "Farewell."

And the kobold, smiling, disappears home.
