She grins and bows. "Hello."

"What brings you back?"

"Well, I was thinking about the teleportation form. Now that you've finished talking to the Jedi, I don't really have a reason not to give it to you - but that's not the same as having a reason to. And I thought you might want to talk to me about that."

"Hm. Shall we discuss this back at my office?" Hand?

Hand.

"So. Is the end of negotiations with the Jedi the only thing that's changed?"

"That and I've had some time to think about it, yeah."

"Well, then. You say you need a positive reason. Did you have anything in mind?"

"Not really," she shrugs. "'Reason' might be the wrong thing, even; what I'm really looking for is whether I feel like it's something I want to do instead of something I don't care about much one way or the other."

"You don't care one way or the other about furthering my education? That hurts my feelings."

The kobold cocks her head and looks thoughtful for a second.

"Well, you're not tribe. Kobolds work differently than humans, with that. And apparently..." she fades off, then makes a sour face. "Huh. Well, apparently I've decided I want to stay in this world, and that's working in your favor here."

"It doesn't seem as though you approve of this development..."

"Opposite of that; I was thinking about what it'd be like if I left. I'd worry." She seems to find this amusing.

"You are an odd little kobold."

"Yeah, I know."

"What do you think would happen, if you left?"

"I wouldn't know what was going on," she shrugs. "You have an agreement and that's great, but those aren't always stable; things happen."

"I would have no reason to let my side of it fall, because the Jedi wouldn't be able to exile me and I would be the only Sith left in the galaxy. Someone has to look after those holocrons."

She shrugs, again, tenser. "I'm not used to people being able to be that sure about things; it doesn't have anything to do with you personally."

"Unsurety is a mark of weakness. I trained myself out of it long ago."

"Sure. But I'm not a Sith."

"Old habits die hard, I'm afraid. I apologize for disturbing you."

That gets a bit of a grin, though she's still tense.

"I like the idea of staying for its own sake, anyway. It's a pretty easy choice."

"It is always pleasant to be presented with such a thing."

She grins. "I'm actually surprised I ended up liking the Jedi so much. I was really expecting not to, when you first told me about them - what you said about them objecting to your existence on principle, I really have a problem with that kind of thing. But - it happens, I'm not going to say it doesn't, but it's not something that's approved of, and they work pretty hard to stop it."
