...all right. She'll ask Ana about it at dinner; it's not that urgent.

Time to get some work done on the reception area, then.

The first thing she does when she gets there is scan the Sith and his cell; anything interesting?

He's kicking the wall again.

Sigh.

She casts a pair of portals - the one leading out of the cell is tiny and set to close if he uses the force at all - and asks, "would you like a book or something?"

"I would like," he growls, "to get my hands around your throat."

"Sure. But since that's not going to happen - book?"

He roars, and unleashes a blast of energy in the direction her voice is coming from.

The portal closes well before the energy hits it.

The kobold sighs and gets to work.

A couple hours later, she opens another portal. "Dinnertime soon. Any requests?"

Snarl.

She waits until she's sure her voice isn't going to betray her; a few seconds.

"No, see, that only works if I'm not expecting it."

He ignores her.

She closes the portals, takes another minute to get her composure back, and then teleports off to dinner. It turns out she's slightly early.

Ana shows up a while later.

"Hey! How'd it go this afternoon?"

"Pretty good," she grins. "You?"

Ana makes a face.

"Bleah. I got roped into meditation practice."

"Aw." She leans sympathetically on Ana, giggling.

Ana does her best impression of a stuffy Jedi Master. "Focus, Ana. Feel the Force flowing through you."

The effect is somewhat ruined by the way she sticks her tongue out.

If she wanted the kobold to stop giggling that was the wrong way to go about it.

Good thing she wasn't trying to do that, then!

Heeee.

Ahem.

"So, tomorrow's probably more of the same, except sometime soon I need your help finding something I can put a portal in so I can let somebody else take over looking after the Sith. And then the day after that I'm probably going to go let Occlus know that the meeting place is ready."

"Hmm. Okay. What sort of things are suitable to put a portal in?"

"A flat thing or a loop - something flat is easier to put controls on, but loops are usually more portable."

"A flat thing... Like a wall panel or something? Probably not full size, that would be inconvenient."

"Yeah, not something huge, just," she holds her hands about eighteen inches apart, "about like that. Enough to look through comfortably."

Ana considers. Hmmm.

She snaps her fingers. "Aha! Goalplates! Just about the right size. Should be some in the closet by the fields."

"Sure," she nods. "Show me after dinner?"
