They eventually reemerge with a few each. And a couple in their mouths.

"Hi again. I know fish doesn't need to be cooked as much as other meat but you can get sick from eating them whole you know?"

"That's humans."

"Well it makes me feel a little uncomfortable and don't do it in front of my Mom or she'll fuss over you for hours."

And so she eats her fish right then and there.

Gren turns around, looking slightly sick.

Zeke elbows her sister. "She said she didn't like it." 

"Sorry," she says with a mouth full of fish.

"I'll come find you after dinner since you're already eating."

Zeke isn't.

"Thanks for the fish though." She walks off in a huff anyway.

Zeke runs after. "Gren, I'm sorry about Tabby."

"It's okay. I'm not too mad, just grossed out. D'you want to meet my mom?"

"Sure!"

"Okay, my house is all the way on the other side of the island."

Meanwhile, a nervous looking adult offers Tabitha ten rupees if she'll help him catch his runaway pig.

"Sounds fun."

"He's over there. Let's flank him. Try to sneak up, he's a runner."

She juuust manages the urge to eat the pig.

"The guy delivers the squirming creature to a hastily repaired fenced in area. "Thanks for the help! Here's your Rupees." Clink clink.

Gren and Zeke have arrived at a smallish house on the edge of the little village. "MOM! I'm home! With a visitor-friend!"

"Hi, Mrs. Gren's Mum!"

"Hello, little bean. And hello, visitor-friend. What's his name, dear?"

"Zeke!"

"Welcome to Outset Island, Zeke. Are you here with your parents?"

"Dead and in another world," he says, casually. "It's okay, my sister's here, too."

"I- I see. Well. If you two need a roof over your head tonight you can come here. I'll set up a hammock with the spare sheets."

"I'm sorry Zeke. Even if you're not really sad about it it seems kinda lonely."

"Will your sister be joining us?"

He walks over to the doorway. "TABBY!" he shouts. "Get up here!"

She complies. 

"I expected your sister to be... Older. Are you quite sure you two are alright living on your own?"
