Now that pleasantries are resolved she's going to go patch Cayden and the new woman up with the Cure wand. She probably could afford to use more channels or do some spontaneous conversion, but she doesn't want to count on it.

She kneels and waits to be told if there’s anything they want her to do.

Marie just curls up and cries quietly.

Zoriana walks the perimeter of the room and looks for entrances.

There are three long dark tunnels in various directions. They don’t have doors or anything.

"I don't suppose any of you happen to know where any of these tunnels lead."

(He'll relay this to the new person.)

"One of them leads down to the midden. I lost track of which one. I think another one leads to... a room with some spinning wheels?"

"What do you think plausibly goes wrong if we try to hide in the midden?"

"They'll look for me when they realize I'm not here."

"It would make a lot of sense if you have no idea, but do you have any guesses for when they'll realize that?"

"No."

"They'll already know someone's missing as soon as they force the door to - " yeah actually Marie can't finish that sentence.

"It might be helpfully confusing that our fresh blood is scattered pretty widely." (Mostly yours, but he's not going to mention it, it's not the most pleasant topic.)

Maybe so.

Zoriana tries to get people into a state where they aren't dripping and won't leave conspicuous footprints.

Cayden will go back to impersonating the local 'angels' and attempt to lead everyone towards the midden.

It is a horrible place but not in the same way as a torture chamber.

This is not Zoriana's first time hiding under a garbage heap and she can lead the process. It's unpleasant but probably won't kill them. It might get searched, though.

"I don't actually think we can hide here for a week."

"We probably can't. Give me the fork?"

Zoriana hands it over.

Cayden swallows it and doesn't even look uncomfortable during the process.

"Get out of here when you can. I'll dismiss myself when it's done or if I'm cornered enough."
