"Absolutely. I want you to answer questions but you can do that while sitting here."

Nod.

"What types of life have you seen there?"

"...Angels? Uh, I guess you don't call them that. And dead people?"

He looks to the Lyrakien. "I'm doing a scry, can you get us an image of some angels?"

There are now images of a blue humanoid woman with an extra pair of translucent arms, a burning disk of metal, a humanoid with iridescent wings, a winged helmet, and another humanoid with wings of flame.

"They don't look like that. Is this what the people I'll be expected to obey now look like?"

The flying squid is making some kind of tentacle-based gesture now. "This is Elysium. We don't usually expect people to obey orders. If you're going to insist on following someone's I'm sure we can figure something out but … look, there are planes that aren't super horrible where lots of people who follow orders end up. They're called Heaven and Axis. You're not in either."

"Do the entities you call angels all look like the same kind of person, the way that you and Zoriana and the other dead person look like humans?"

"Yes."

"And there weren't any animals or dragons or such? Does the place turn all the dead people who go there into humans or did both of you just happen to start off humans?"

"I never noticed anyone there who wasn't human but I don't think I saw everyone. I was human all along."

Nod. "The not-angels never said either way. I think. It was a long time and I don't remember everything."

"And the only major symbol around was the cross with someone nailed to it?"

"The crucifix. It's Jesus."

He looks over the runes on his clothing. "Jesus … Christus, maybe? I remember there being a symbol like so." He sketches a 𝖳 in the ground. "Does that look familiar to you at all?"

"That’s his name, yeah. Usually that line goes all the way through."

"Well, I haven't heard much about him recently. He's from – Jasoom, right." He turns to the winged squid. "Do you know what Jasoom looks like?"

"No, sorry."

"Is your understanding that Jesus spent a lot of time on the planet you were born on?"

"Uh, well, I have a whole new understanding of what constitutes a long time now that I've been dead for a while. He spent longer there than I did."

"And you died in adulthood, I take it?"

"I was about sixteen."

"It sounds like you're from Jasoom. It is completely understandable if you have no idea where your fellow dead people were from but if you have any guesses, that would potentially be useful information."
