'Mmm, I don't think so!'

'Okay!'

And back to Kyubey: 'Thanks for answering our questions! Do Friday afternoons work for you? Not every Friday, but, like, some of them.'

'I can do Fridays!  I can drop by other days too, if you want to hunt or just talk to someone who's in on the secret.'

'I won't really be hunting outside of the weekends, but thank you for the offer.'

'You're welcome!'

'Talk to you later!'

Then to Kaylee: "So I'll talk to my mom in a few days, see about getting permission for the mall."

"Great!  I'll talk to my folks too."

Lianne turns the conversation then to more innocuous things, and is fine just chatting until gym ends.

As is Kaylee!

The school day ends, and Lianne heads home.

Thursday at dinner, she brings up the mall with her mom, and, to her mild shock, receives permission - assuming she gets all her weekend homework done first, of course.

Friday, when Kaylee sits down next to her on the bus, she excitedly says, "Hey Kaylee! My mom gave me permission for the mall, if I get my homework done first, which shouldn't be too hard. We can meet at the entrance to the food court around six? Then maybe catch a movie or something." 

"Yeah, that sounds fun!  What's playing?"

"I'm not really sure, we'll have to check online or when we get there."

"What do you like?  There's been lotsa superhero movies coming out lately, those are fun..."

"I like action movies, so, yeah, a superhero movie sounds nice."

"Cool!"  'And then hunt afterward, I guess?'

'Or before, depending on movie timing. But that's the general idea. We can tell our parents we're just hanging out at the mall or shopping or something.'

'Yeah, that sounds good.  I'm looking forward to it already!'

'Same!' 

The bus slowly trundles up to the school building.

She giggles.  "See you later!"

"See you!"

At lunch Kaylee retrieves her phone, and she and Lianne huddle over it to pick out a movie to see.  The day proceeds: eventually Kaylee goes home, catches her parents up about her and Lianne's plans, and, at six o'clock, arrives at the mall food court.

Lianne luckily manages to finish her homework in time, and her sister drops her off, just after six.

"Hey Kaylee! Sorry I'm running a bit late, we got unlucky with the lights," she says, walking up to her friend. "So, dinner then the movie?" 'With the way timing and the mall's hours work out, we can hunt in the local area before the movie, then do a broader hunt right afterwards if we don't find anything.'

"Hi Lianne!  It's okay!  That sounds good to me; what are you in the mood for?"

"Hmm, the sub place and Chinese place are decent, and the pizza place is actually surprisingly good for mall food... I think I'll go for pizza, but feel free to get something else. Where do you want to sit?" There's a bunch of tables in the middle of the food court, between the two rows of food stalls. Some of them are in less crowded areas than others.

"Mmmm, I think I'll get pizza too."  She points out a table away from the more crowded sections of the food court.
