"But what if we mess up?"

"I have a hard skull!"

Zeke fidgets a bit. "Okay, but don't haunt me if it all goes wrong."

"Ghosts aren't real. They're always mischievous fairies pretending to be ghosts. That's what Sturgeon says anyway."

"Well, crouch down, I'll climb up on your shoulders, wait for the wind to be right and throw!"

"Wait for it... Wait... Wa- NOW!"

"Wheee- Uh oh-"

The wind shifts when she's almost there, but she twists and successfully grabs the ledge anyway. After pulling herself up. "Hey, thanks so much! It worked! I don't know how to get you guys up... But I have to go visit the peak, I'll come back and tell everyone what I find later."

She runs off.

"We have to follow her, of course. Allow me to demonstrate how, right this way." He leads them back to the entrance, above the pit and near the withered bomb plants. He's got that look that means he thinks himself clever right about now on...

Tabitha looks expectant. "Well?"

"It's obvious, really." He pours a little bit of greenish dust, and then some water from his canteen, onto the withered bomb plants. Which promptly swell into full-sized ones. "I've worked with enough little magic to see that these are definitely some kind of magic, and encourage it to make them come back faster. Fire away at that spring-blocking rock, Miss Tabby."

She does so, with gusto.

BOOM! No more rock. Nemo claps.

She grins and bows. "Thanks for your input, Mr. Eastwind."

Gren peers at the bubbling water rapidly refilling the basin. "Looks like it'll be a while before we can cross, still. Want to go ask for something to eat since Quill offered it?"

"Sure." He's pretty eager to try more of this extotic "cooked food".

They're happy to share some food. Vegetables, fish, bread!

Gren really likes bread.

Tabitha finds it surprisingly delicious,

Nemo earns himself a job sorting mail. "Pays reasonably well while there's nothing better to do, anyway."

Any work for the twins?

...Also sorting mail? Or maybe packing it into easy-to-fly-with bundles. There's a lot of mail to sort.

Well, they do that.

They might hear the little prince complaining loudly that his father doesn't care about him and why doesn't everyone just leave him alone.
