She hopes Nemo tell her all about the scam later. And that Gren won't get grumpy. "Hi, Postbird! Remember us?"

"I do, actually. Deku's guests. What brings you all the way out here?"

"Trouble. That giant bird you told us about... We tried to fight it. We lost, bad. Then we found a talking boat who says he knows how to defeat Ganon, the bird's boss. I don't think he's lying."

"Adventure, friends, and now we're helping Gren rescue some people because she's the Great Hero! I think."

"...I see. Would it happen that you need to go see Valoo, the Sky Spirit?"

"Yes, exactly! We need to get something from him to unlock the power to defeat evil."

"That may not be possible at this time. Valoo is in a state of great upset. None of us know why. But it would be very dangerous to try to talk to him."

"What if we told him Deku vouches for us?"

"I don't think you can even get close. The volcano is active again, there is ash everywhere, winds batter the sides of the mountain so that we cannot even fly up... It's quite troubling. Moreso since we cannot continue our traditions with him in such a state."

"You have no idea what's causing it?"

"Alas, no."

"You can't deliver mail."

"Hm? No, we can still deliver mail. But all Rito children must make a pilgrimage to the peak and recieve Valoo's blessing, or they do not grow wings. None of our fledglings can do that while this continues. It's not yet a problem, but it will soon become a very big problem. If Valoo cannot be calmed, the Rito Tribe will lose its way of life forever in the next five decades."

"That's horrible!"

"Which is why, while we would ordinarily be glad to help you on your heroic quest, we must pour all our efforts into finding out what has Valoo so terribly angry. Just this morning our chief flew for the Forest Haven to get Deku's advice, actually."

"There's another way up than flying, right? Why not do that? Too dangerous?" He sighs and nods.

"What do you mean by dangerous?"

"The way up for the wingless is inside the mountain... But as I said, the volcano is active again, and lately monsters have infested it. It would be great danger to ascend."

Even the twins aren't sure about trying that.

Nemo's coming up the slope behind them.

Gren explains the situation.

"You could always take a look and turn back if it gets too dangerous. Bet there's good treasure in there."

"If you can get in at all it might be worth the attempt. The way up through the inside is blocked, currently, even to us."

The twins decide to at least try.

"Come in and have a rest and perhaps a hot meal first. We'd like to support the heroic quest, even if that's all we can offer."

He leads them to the Rito Tribe's hold, a few large spaces and lots of small ones carved into the side of the mountain. Wooden and rope bridges and platforms and carved rock ramps providing transit between them.

The twins can't help but see it as a giant obstacle course.

There are lots of shortcuts meant for people with wings - gaps just a bit too wide for a human to comfortably leap. It's a pretty acceptable obstacle course. Gren looks a bit jealous at their dashing about.
