The Deku Leaves help a lot too,but they all land in a tangled heap anyway.

The goblin guarding the door definitely notices this. He's probably about to do something violent.

The twins are preemptively violent, despite some bruising.

Gren gets her bearings too late to help.

The goblin drops a butterfly necklace thing.

"Ow. Ow. Okay we're in... Now we have to find our way up to the stupid bird's nest." They can see it above them now, sleeping.

"Necklace anything helpful?"

"Um... I think that's a Joy Pendant. Some people collect them, maybe we can sell it later? Let's see if the magic loot bag thinks it's loot."

It does.

"Does it make people happy or something?"

"They're supposed to always find their way to people who make everyone around them happy, a Fate thing, so having lots of them is supposed to mean you're a nice person."

The twins look very smug.

She looks a bit askance at this. "Anyway let's go look for the-"

Her pocket suddenly emits Tetra's voice. She digs out a glowing blue stone.

"Hey, scrubbies! I get that you're eager and all, but I can see the way up there from out here and you're going to need to shut down those spotlights. If the alarm gets raised the stupid bird will take to the air and pick you off. Or maybe you'll just get swarmed by monsters. Either way not good. Oh, and I'd like my talking stone back when you're done if you can manage it."

The twins briefly wonder if it has anything to do with their glowy blue stone.

"You could have just asked me to carry it. Didn't need to, to... Reverse-pickpocket me."

"It was funnier this way. Should have seen your faces. Anyway, you need to get those spotlights. I can give you directions. Right and down that ramp, for example."

They do what the talking stone says.

The trio are sufficiently sneaky to avoid raising the alarm and getting swarmed. The spotlight operators are more incredibly stupid goblins, one of which loses his weapon entirely when it whacks off Gren's shield. She giggles as the twins attack it, despite herself and the rather grave situation.

They're glad to see she's getting into the spirit of things. Now, where are those kidnapped people?

Up the ramps, across a precarious ledge, through a big door.

There's maybe half a dozen prisoners in a cage in the corner, all girls with pointed ears. Sami is one of them.

"Hi, Sami! It's me and Zeke from the island."

"SHH! SHH!" Someone rich-looking motions at them frantically. "Stay quiet or you'll wake up the Helmaroc King again!"

The twins go dead silent. They're good at that.

"SKRAAA!"

Too late, apparently.

The giant bird appears at the top of the tall tower they're standing in the base of. Gren runs to the cage and starts frantically trying to hack it open with the sword.

The twins try to pry the bars apart.

No luck. The Helmaroc King snatches all three of them up in its claws and flies back out the top of the tower. Gren barely manages to hold on to the sword - and the leaf. "NO NO NO LET ME GO-"

The twins snarl and struggle like cornered predators.

The bird hauls them before a menacing, tall, tough-looking figure on the half-wreck of a ship at the very tip of the Fortress.

"...What precisely are these, my pet?" ...The bird squawks out some kind of bird-language.

And now they're hissing and trying to make themselves look big.

"MEANIE! JERK! VILLAIN! BULLY!"
