"Admirable. But I must warn you, the master of that foul place, Ganon, cannot be defeated by mortal strength. He was sealed in ancient times, along with me and many other things. The fact that I have awakened at all means I must seek a new hero, or heroes, to defeat Ganon once again."

"We're not technically mortal."

"...Hm. Deku's influence? You are all holding leaves gifted from him. Still, Ganon has stolen a fragment of a god. You will need the Master Sword to have a hope of doing more than inconveniencing him, alas."

"So... How do we get the special sword?"

"It will be a long and difficult journey, that I promise. Though perhaps not as long and difficult as it might be to a single, human hero."

"We'll give her all the help she needs!"

"Ah, but she is not the only hero here! True, the Hero's Sword likes her the best, and the Master Sword will be the same, but it is still brave and kind of you both to assist."

"Yeah... Thanks a lot, actually. I would've been way more scared in the fortress without you two."

He shrugs. "No problem."

"Ahem! To acquire the Master Sword you three must complete a surprisingly elaborate sequence of actions. Gather three mystic pearls from three different islands, place them in the correct way, and then ascend the puzzle tower that this summons. It's old magic designed to test your courage and determination. It will open a gate to where you can find the Master Sword."

She rolls her eyes. "It's never easy, is it?"

"I'm afraid not. And... It's embarrassing to admit, while I would like to help carry you far and wide, I cannot use a leaf as a sail. I would be as slow as any ordinary craft with such. However, with a real sail my magic will allow me to take you where you need to go with ease and speed. It is not essential, but it would be a great help if you spoke with the merchants of this place to acquire a sail."

"The magic talking boat is helping us a lot. Well, assuming you're not lying, Mr. Boat. Be nice please?"

"We'll bite you if you're not!"

"I doubt my lacquering would appreciate it. I am not lying, no."

"Hmm. Well, let's go look around the place I guess?"

The twins seem eager.

Windfall Island is a fairly vibrant and prosperous-looking place. There are sailors and ships and docks, though no ship is as impressive as Tetra's was. There are children playing tag and old men walking around the fields.

And most importantly to their task there are quite a lot of people selling and buying and bartering and loaning and auctioning and all other sorts of economic activity.

"We could do chores for money. Me and Tabby could get them done really fast."

"We have some already, from the monsters and from my mom. We can ask if people need work done to get more."

It transpires that most people don't have any significant work they'll offer to small children when they ask, though Zeke does get five rupees for fetching well-water for someone.

Anyone worth talking to around?

'Worth talking to' is hard to define. 'Interesting' might be findable, for example one of the street vendors is much smaller than most of the rest.

Because they are quite silly, the twins find other children inherently trustworthy.

"Hello newcomers to Windfall! I hope you don't mind my assumption, you look new. And newcomers to Windfall are all looking for something, yes? How goes your search?"
