"Dispose of them."

The bird flies away, higher and higher...

And drops them.

Sure is handy it's not smart enough to take their Deku Leaves, eh?

Indeed. And vampires unsurprisingly tend to land on their feet.

Well, in the ocean. Tetra hasn't caught up to them yet.

"But hey," she exclaims from her speaking-stone, "At least you didn't die!"

"That would suck. We have way more life to lose!"

"Yeah, so you should be a bit less brave and a bit more careful, like proper pirates. That dark guy is a jerk. He used to run a competing pirate crew to ours, you know."

...Gren mutters something uncomplimentary about pirates, and getting wet.

The twins swim a little. It's good to try and make the best of a bad situation. 

Tetra's ship sails up to them and throws ropes out. The pirates haul them all aboard.

"What do we do now?"

"Find out more about that bad guy."

"He smelt weird."

"Windfall Island is the place you want to go for information. It's not far. I'll drop you off there if you like. Can I have my talking stone back please?" Gren hands it over.

"It was sort of like sand and rotting things."

"...Ew. That sounds like a bad guy smell alright."

"What's Windfall island like?"

"Big town. Nice enough place if you have money. Busy. We're not really welcome there but we poke our noses around for stealable stuff once in a while."

"Sounds fun." 

Anything of interest on the way?

Nope. Just open sea, filthy (literally and morally) pirates, badly sung sea shanties, and chores.

It's only a few hours, at least. They're in sight by noon the next morning.

The twins tease the look out a bit for needing to use a telescope.

The lookout throws a boot at them. It misses.

It's good to be an ex-vampire, isn't it?

Tetra pulls up to a cliffy, relatively hidden part of the island and has a pirate row them ashore in a little boat, then leaves quickly before too many people notice the pirates. "Good luck with your heroic quest and all!"

The twins wave goodbye a little disingenuously. 

A little after the pirates are out of earshot, a bright red boat sails out of the little cove they're near and says, "Hello. You three were just at the Forsaken Fortress, were you not?"

"Yup!"

"We were trying to rescue people."
