"Well, yes. But I think the fight was more interesting. By the way... anyway idea what happened there?"

Thar shrugs.

Not that he was being asked, probably. He expects Krian probably still has a thing against him.

"I don't really know either of them that well," says Ev.

Well, they can proceed with lunch like nothing happened.

Kay is still confused about the wind.

Rashel seems to be eyeing Thar a bit warily; she's suspicious of him, especially seeing as he is somehow in two places at once.

She got a reply to the text she sent earlier, and apparently he indeed is still at the clinic.

Yet he's also at school.

It's not like there's much she can do about this, since she can't explain it, she doesn't know what's happening with it, and she's ultimately very confused. She's got a weird feeling that there is something big to this, but she doesn't know for sure, and she doubts herself, seeing as she's not literally psychic.

A while afterwards, the bell goes for the end of lunch. Their afternoon consists of math or lit and then languages and various sciences.

Which go by without any weird wind?

Indeed they do! They also happen to go by with a Thar, at least second-last period – Kay has math with him!

Then he disappears. Possibly to biology. That's what class he has last, so perhaps it's that.

But he's also not around at the end of the day.

… And Rashel might get a text. Something from Thar's dad about how he's a little concerned because Thar met someone at the clinic. And he's pretty sure no-one was meant to be there, since it was during school hours.

She's not sure what to respond with, really.

The cousins go home.

The next day, Ev can be spotted before school talking to the Luna who was involved in the weird incident at lunch the previous day.

Around them, there seems to be quite a lot of gossip going on about things. It's not very coherent, and there doesn't seem to be any main topic they're focusing on, it's just people gossipping about things.

Rashel is looking a little worried. Thar still hasn't shown up.

Well, is any of the gossip about yesterday's incident in the cafeteria?

It indeed is! A lot of the gossip is about yesterday's incident, but there's the fight being interesting itself, there's the phossing and that someone dared do that in the cafeteria at school, there's the reasons behind it – did they have a bad break-up? Did he insult her? Was she just in a mood? Who knows!

There's also plenty about random topics, like how some other people are being a bit moody – perhaps it's something in the water – or that the teachers seem a little bit lax, and also some stuff about a government official, and some other things! Lots of gossip, more than usual.

There doesn't seem to be much talk about the wind, though. Which is weird, because the wind was definitely very weird.

Is Kay the only one that comments on it?

Government official?

Kay is… not quite the only one to comment on it? There are a couple of other people, and people definitely agree with him if he mentions it, but mostly people aren't talking about it? It's weird.

As for the government official: turns out he had a relationship with a younger Luna! Quite a bit younger. It's rather scandalous, although not illegal. Doesn't exactly happen very often, either, so people are taking what they can get.

Rashel: still waiting for Thar, who has still not yet turned up. She seems to be fretting a little.

"Huh, Rashel? Do you think Thar is... some kind of trouble?"

"I don't know," she says, still fretfully. "He was acting weirdly but I mostly felt that he was okay yesterday and the day before even if he wasn't quite as he should be, and last week there was definitely something wrong and I have a bad feeling and I don't know but I think something's—" The bell goes.

She looks a bit put out that she was interrupted, and still looks to be worried, but with Thar not in evidence, she has nothing to go on and nothing to do.

"It is probably just temporary," Krian offers, before heading to class himself.

Rashel has literature and she would usually be thrilled and would draw huge sprawling diagrams that make sense and cover the information comprehensibly and totally but she is fretting, so she walks to class and dreads it slightly because she doesn't expect to be able to pay attention.

Kay goes to his own Thar-free literature class.

While Krian has Math with Ev.

After literature, Rashel has Thuria with Kay. She is worrying less visibly by this point but still doesn't look particularly happy.
