Ana takes hers off as well.

"Flying is the best! I'm going to have to take it up in my spare time."

The kobold grins and nods. "You can buy jetpacks and stuff from Bar, too - they might not even be very expensive, for you, it's based on what kind of tech your world has."

"I'm going to see if the Order has any hiding somewhere before I go ahead and buy one. But Bar probably has a better selection than any suppliers I could find back home."

"I can pretty much guarantee they do," she grins, heading inside. "D'you want another sampler platter for dinner, or something else?"

"Another sampler," she decides.

The kobold grins and nods and goes to place their order - a completely different sampler, this time, and a steak and mashed potatoes with cranberry gravy and a vegetable medley for herself.

An extra napkin appears with the meals, and the kobold reads it and replies "yeah, I know. In the morning, I promise."

Yay new food! Nom.

...Extra napkin what? Ana won't try to read it but-

"Everything okay?"

"There's a nutritional thing I've been putting off." Nom, "I'll have to figure something out in the long term but it's not a big deal right now." Nom nom.

"Oh. Anything I could help with or...?"

Nom.

"Not really? I've been skipping it because humans usually think it's gross, and I'd rather put it off than skip eating in the cafeteria." Nom nom.

"You can eat whatever when its just you and me, I won't mind."

The kobold considers this, and then grins. "Yeah, that probably is true. All right."

Half a leg bone from some unidentified kind of large animal appears on her plate between the steak and the potatoes, and she looks to Ana just to make sure that this is indeed okay.

Just bones? Not, like, weird organs or living animals? Ana is fine with this.

Noms continue.

Noms do continue! The kobold makes pretty short work of the bone, in between the other parts of her meal. Crunch nom nom crunch crunch.

"You could eat that sort of thing in the cafeteria if you wanted. You'd probably have to get your own, though. People don't generally eat entire bones. Some like to crack them to get at the marrow, but that's not especially common."

Huh. "Okay. It's not something I need to do every day or anything, anyway, once every three or four is just fine. And I can catch my own animals - would the kitchen want the meat, do you think?"

"I'm not sure. I could find out while you're away?"

She nods. "Sounds good." She pauses to consider her wording. "I'm familiar with the whole process, there, from animal to food, so whatever they want done I can probably do it."

"I'll be sure to mention that!"

Nom nom.

Nom nom.

Lean nom.

Pat pat nom.

"Bar, can we get a dessert to share?"

And lo, there was a layered carrot cake/cheesecake with spiced berry compote on top.

Mmmmm Bar is the best.

"Bar, you are the best."

Why thank you.

Mm, cake. Bar is the best.

And eventually it's gone. "Bedtime?" asks the kobold.
