"The main limit is that my spells can only teleport things to places, and I have to have been there if I want a specific place. Aside from that - lots of things, you've seen a couple different kinds of portals, I can do teleportation rings, viewing portals, lots of stuff. Or maybe some kind of game? I could probably make a spell that reacted to different ways of using the force if I saw enough examples."

"A teleportation game could fun! ...I have no idea how it might work but it sounds like the sort of thing that would be fun!"

The kobold considers for a few moments. "Well, what kinds of games do you already play? I have a couple ideas, but it'll probably work best to come up with something that's not too unfamiliar."

Ana takes this as her cue to launch into a lovingly-detailed description of her favorite games from her Padawan days. Mostly they involve moving various sorts of balls around a field, sometimes to put them into a specific spot, sometimes just to hit other people. It's probably a good idea to cut her off when she starts recounting play-by-play descriptions of exceptional games she remembers watching or participating in..

The kobold listens attentively, and giggles and does interrupt when Ana gets to the point of describing individual games. "So how much more fun would that be if you could move people on the field around at the same time? I'm thinking either random repositioning or moving them to bases, second thing means I need to know more than I do now but I bet it'd make a better game."

"Tell me what you need me to do to make this happen. This is a thing that needs to happen."

Hee.

"Is there a yard somewhere that nobody will mind too much if I add spells to it? Or I could find a clear spot on that other world, if you want to do this now and we'd need permission to do it here."

"We should probably go to the other world, I think."

"Sure." She picks up her own tray to go put it away, and offers to take Ana's as well.

With that done, she offers Ana her hand.

Hand! Teleporting is really convenient and Ana likes it a lot.

It is!

This time they land on a flat expanse of grass and clover and little flowers in white and yellow.

The kobold looks around, consideringly. "A round space would be easiest to enspell, and I should probably do something to make sure nobody twists an ankle in a hole. Would dirt or stone feel more familiar for the playing field?"

"Dirt. Wouldn't stone hurt to fall on?"

"That's why I asked," she nods. "All right, hm."

She sits to trance; almost immediately, the grass in a wide circle around them disappears, teleported to a pile in front of her, outside the circle, revealing a few dips in the soil and a hole that would indeed have been unpleasant to accidentally step in. Dirt appears to fill these irregularities, and the kobold continues focusing for another second or so after that's complete.

"Okay, I've got a basic random teleportation spell on it, that should be interesting enough to start with. What you want to do is use the force on the ground under me - be careful of me, though, I've got that defensive spell on me that'll trigger if you touch me with it."

Ana nods, and pushes a very small, very focused telekinetic burst aimed right between the kobold's legs.

The kobold ceases being there. A giggle clues Ana in to where she is now, off to one side of the circle. "Yeah, that'll be great. Should we go get some people to try it out?"

"Yes."

Ana will round up as many of her old teammates as she can find, and some of the older Padawans to fill out the group. There's twenty of them when she's found everyone.

Once the group is gathered, the kobold makes a temporary portal in the nearest wall. (Painter's tape: so handy.)

When everyone is on the other side and done looking around (yup, new world; no idea where it is; sure, you can try to find out if you want to), she explains how the circle works, and that she'd like to see as many kinds of force use as she can while they play with it so she can make a better one and also smarter spells in general.

And then she goes and sits off to one side and leaves them to it.

This is how Jedi play sports: energetically and very quickly. The ball moves almost too fast to track and so do the players. With teleportation factored in, that task becomes downright impossible. It won't ever really be a spectator sport, but all the players are enjoying themselves immensely.

Good thing the kobold isn't so interested in the game as a game, then.

After a while, and without interrupting them, the kobold quietly makes two smaller circles on opposite sides of the main one. Then she waits for a lull in the proceedings, so she can get their attention.

After a particularly spectacular play involving a string of three lucky teleports, they break for water.

The kobold goes and sits in the center of the main circle while they're getting their drinks.

When they're done: "Are you ready for something new?"

"What have you got?"

"Dunno yet," she grins, amused, and then points out two of the players. "You two, what techniques were you using?"

"Mostly telekinetics. Pushes and pulls."

"And the speed."

"All right. I can recognize those now, so I can make something different happen when you do them. And we've got two more circles to play with, the rules can be different in different ones. What would you like?"
