That sounds... not as terrible as it maybe could have been.

"All right."

"You're willing, then?"

"To protect Anakin, I am."

She strokes her daughter's head. "Alright."

That's that settled, then.

"I'll have you watch her while I question the boy."

"Okay."

"...Thank you."

Mrmm. Being thanked by a Sith feels kinda weird.

Sigh. 

"I'm going to rest briefly, but that boy is likely to start trying to wake up soon..."

"Should I take Anakin back?"

She hesitates. 

Then: "We should get her into the nursery."

Makes sense. Let's do that, then.

The nursery's status as a minor fortress isn't very visible from inside.

It's quiet and peaceful, with turquoise walls and ceiling painted with birds native to Naboo, and a tiny sheltered courtyard with a fountain and trellises laden with flowers off the main room, and space for two adult minders or guards to sleep, and nooks for awake guards both inside and in the courtyard and outside the doors, and dressers and changing table and crib and rocking chair painted a soft burnished gold, and gauzy curtains over the windows. The crib is between a guard's bed and a chair, and the beds are designed for co-sleeping. There's a few side rooms - a little kitchen, a bathroom, a pantry, a monitoring room with a charging station for the security droid, with spare weapons in assorted locations. 

The suite has two desks and numerous bookshelves, too, already stocked with some things Lylí had expected to want to read while watching over her daughter, as well as an assortment of children's books. 

Not a bad setup, all told.

"I can bring in more books," she says. "And - since you know I'm a Sith anyways - I can bring things from my full library."

"If it's no trouble."

"It isn't."

"Then- thanks."

"You're welcome."

She offers Anakin to Elesse. 

She takes Anakin gently.
