"Are you... another Anakin?"

"Yeah."

"I - you're Elesse, right?"

"Yeah."

"You didn't have me until I was nine," she says, closing her eyes a little. "But - you're the best thing that's ever happened to me."

Her emotions smooth out - happier, more content - and the baby version of herself settles in response.

"...I'll remember that."

She looks down and makes a funny face at the baby.

She and the baby both giggle.

"Want advice?" Anakin asks.

"I won't say no."

Grin! 

"I mean - the first thing is, I don't think I'd do well in the creche, I wasn't raised a Jedi and my Elesse delayed bringing me to the Temple when she found me because it seemed - maybe unideal for me..."

"I don't think the creche is really going to be an option for this you."

Slow nod.

"I think it would've been for me? If you'd found me. Though - I'm not sure, I'd have to ask Shmi if she would've given me up..."

"Shmi?"

"Shmi Skywalker - she raised me. She then joined the Jedi when Elesse found me - somehow, even though she was too old - and gave me to Elesse, but... She didn't think she was good at raising me? And she thought Elesse would be better. And I dunno if she thought that same thing when I was a baby..."

" - You haven't met her?"

"Not by that name, maybe."

"I dunno if she's ever used a different name - but she hasn't actually told me about her past much?"

"I think things are already pretty different, if your Elesse didn't meet you until you were nine."

"Yeah."

"I'm - really glad you have your Anakin already. I - I don't regret having experienced my past at all, but it... Wasn't pleasant."

"I hope I can do better for this Anakin."

Soft smile. "I know you can."

"Thanks."

"Just make sure I've got lots of attachments that aren't you - you're just... Really awesome, and I think it'd be - really easy for me to get laser focused on you? But not having attachments is - bad for me."

"I'll remember that."

Smile. "Learning to use the light side's been good for me - I was... Using the dark side when my Elesse found me, and it messed with my head kind of a lot? But - I can't do all the Jedi ways of using it?"

"I can make sure you learn that earlier."

"Thanks."
