"Well... I'm very adventurous with food, so sorry in advance about when I'm old enough to start shoving random plants in my mouth..." That kicks off a short ramble of innocuous things like that. 

It's a nice change of pace to talk about relatively trivial little things.

Yeah.

Anakin's a warm curl in the Force - but slowly, gradually, starts to fade out. 

"I - think I'm moving on," she says, abruptly. " - Good luck, Elesse, and - "

"Thank you."

"Goodbye, Anakin."

"May the Force be with you."

And she closes her eyes -

And vanishes from Elesse's senses.

"Well. That was interesting," she says to the baby. "Don't you think so, little Anakin?"

Coo! 

"Yeah, me too."

Meanwhile -

She doesn't, actually, have time to significantly rest. She sets her handmaidens to preparing the stage to fake both the boy and Elesse's deaths, eats, takes a shower and spends nearly half an hour staring blankly at a wall - 

And she goes to the cells and reaches out to the Sith boy in the Force, nudging him awake. 

He comes to with a start, instinctively flinching.

She sits cross-legged on the floor, expression even and Force signature as calm as she can keep it. "What should I call you?"

"Maul."

"A strong name."

"What do you want."

"From you? Or in general?"

"From me."

"Your service, as my knife and my apprentice."

"Plagueis is a weak fool who discards his tools rather than risk being cut. I don't fear you - rather, I see your potential, which is far greater than he'd ever allow you to reach."

"You- want to train me?"

"I tried to kill your servants."

"You showed skill, and - I don't fault you for having belonged to Plagueis."

"It's that easy?"

"I would watch you for a while - I'm ambitious, not stupid - but, yes. It's that easy."

Softly, "I don't want to die."

"I'm not going to kill you."

"Plagueis would - he'd see this as a failure, no matter that he set you up for it."

Slow nod.

"Would you swear yourself as my apprentice?"
