Kaylee giggles.

Tag's face pretty much always looks like that, but he's amused.  She'll learn to figure it out gradually.

She'll call it a success.

Off to charm the teacher!

Teacher is easily charmed; mats are easily acquired.

She takes them out to a bit out of the way - where no one will have an obvious and continual line of sight on them - and... Hm, they don't have bars and stuff... Does Kaylee. Know what gymnasts do. Because Nausicaa's idea is "stick them at an inward corner and try to ninja run up the wall by bouncing off the two walls".

"Maybe start with, like.  A flip."

"Spoilsport. But, sure."

She and Tag step back to give Nausicaa some flipping space.

She sets up the mats and jumps straight up and - okay she doesn't really know how to flip but she'll give it her best shot!

She doesn't?  Perhaps actually she does.

This is so! Much! Fun!

She flips! She does complicated jumps and cartwheels and has a blast not being clumsy!

Kaylee applauds!

"I wanna do the ninja run now!" she exclaims, bouncing.

"I'll allow it.  But, you know, aim for the mat."

"I will, don't worry."

And she sets up the mat, angles herself to the wall the way she's seen her friends do, gets a running start and a leap and tic-tacs properly off the first step - 

And then goes flying.

In the wrong direction.

...She will not be landing on the mats.

Kaylee yelps.

"Ah shit - "

Tag dashes after her and crouches next to her where she's lying prone on the floor.  "Kid, you okay?"

"That was awesome! I went so far!" She bounces up. "Let's try again!"

"Well, at least you're not dead."

Kaylee dashes to Nausicaa's side.  "Are you sure you're okay?"

"Fit as a fiddle! You can give me a checkup if you're concerned?"

"It just looked really bad - well, if you're sure you're not hurt I think we can add durability to the list - " she laughs weakly.

"I'm sure, Kaylee. Thanks for checking, though."

"Of course."

"Well, if you're not concealing internal bleeding and do want to try that again we should probably do it someplace less conspicuous in case you knock something over."
