"Is this world as optimized as possible for thwarting nosy demons as it's possible to get without actually knowing about demons and installing appropriate security protocols?"

"Ugh. Maybe we should figure out who's doing research on this stuff and conjure their information."

"There's some research on powers and some desperate hand-wringing about Endbringers. I can tell you what extra brain structures people with powers have! But not how it gets there or how it does powers!"

"What criteria have you been using?"

"Bar's been recommending books and papers, haven't yet run into anything I know enough to want that she doesn't have."

"Hmm. Bar only does published things, if there's some Tinker or something who had a critical breakthrough and got killed by an Endbringer or something before they could share it..."

"You could just call up the whole corpus but you'd have to search it, and what for?"

"Mm, true. Probably a worthwhile avenue of investigation eventually, but not yet."

"Exactly. This is why we are not parking in the Security office, lots to read up on and we don't want Rosalie's shift up before we know if we're going to send somebody to her world."

"Yeah."

"If we had more people I'd just check all written works on this world, just be safe. But there's no way to get them here."

"I could hold my door and you could ask people I'd already resurrected before I found Milliways to come in, at need, but you'd have to allow some transit time, they've spread out from where I'm working."
