"I'd been there for over a hundred years!" he protests.

Temple blinks. "Oh my god, really? Who did that to you?"

"Clow Reed, my creator and creator of the cards. It is my sacred duty to guard them and guide whoever is their current master."

"Okay how about we move this conversation elsewhere? I'm actually okay going to your place now if you want, Temple."

Temple looks around. "Yeah, we should've already been gone. Uh... Cerberus can you come with us? Maybe in a backpack if you don't mind?"

Temple will collect the book and the box it was in.

"...okay." He flies into the backpack.

"Sorry," Temple tells him and is very careful with the backpack while they go to his home at brisk pace.

Occasionally he mutters "What the hell?" to himself.

Eventually they arrive at a small but well kept house in a relatively nice neighborhood. Temple leads Saddes inside and opens the backpack. "You okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine."

"Well, you mentioned a Clow Reed?"

"He was the most powerful sorcerer ever, and he created the Clow Cards and me to protect them."

"Okay... so the cards are mostly gone, what now?"

"Which of you opened the book?"

Sadde points at Temple.

"Then you will have to bring all the cards back!"

"Okay... fair enough. How do I do that?

He flies to Temple's desk and the book follows. "I will have to make you the cardcaptor."

"Okay... as long this doesn't mean a deal with the devil for my soul."

"Who's that?"

"Ah, religious figure that supposedly does this kind of deal for evil purposes... I mean, what is a cardcaptor?"

"The cardcaptor is the master of the Clow Cards, and will have the powers to find them and capture them and protect the world from sure destruction."

"...sure destruction."

"What sort of destruction?" Temple says, not sounding alarmed, because he can't be alarmed enough.

"The cards act according to their nature, and some of them are very powerful and could bring a great catastrophe to the world..."

And Temple remembers several of those cards and says... "Fucking hell. How do I capture them then?"
