Shrug. "It's still--most people wouldn't do that? Like, yeah, it's less fair, but it's also safer if fewer people know. And, um, you told them when you still thought we were--" good people. "--on your side? I think? Whereas you told me after--everything."

"You apologised."

"I guess, yeah." Zam rubs behind Guenhwyvar's ears.

Guenhwyvar rolls over onto her back to show her belly.

Very tentative belly rub?

Guenhwyvar is melting and kneading the air.

Drizzt is looking on affectionately.

Guenhwyvar is so good?? Drizzt is so good???? What did Zam ever do to deserve this.

Sorry Zam, he's interacting with people (and cats) who are trusting and starved for interaction.

Zam will just...continue petting Guenhwyvar until she decides to move off his feet.

When she does: "I think I'm gonna go now, if that's okay--? Um, unless you had anything else you wanted to tell me."

"This is all I needed to tell you."

"Okay. Cool. Cool cool cool. Bye!"

Time to leave. ...And by "leave" he means "walk for a while in a random direction, find another hole to hide in, and wait for Drizzt's second layer to turn off before actually heading back to his base".

Drizzt spends some time with just him and Guenhwyvar, and heads back to his makeshift base.

Once Zam is confident that Drizzt is no longer in the area, he puts his crown back on and heads back to his own base. There's a small shack on the surface like a villager house, but the real base is at the bedrock layer under a lush cave. Not impossible to find, by any means, but it's small and the world is big and he'd rather not lead Drizzt straight there.

He paces, talking to himself as he does. He messages Mapicc and Ro. They confirm that they've known for a couple weeks and they were planning to tell him if it became relevant but Drizzt wasn't doing much after Medusa so it slipped their minds. He tries not to wonder what else they're not telling him and fails. He tries not to think about what he just saw and fails. He opens his DMs with Parrot, once, and then immediately closes it and hates himself for even considering it. He paces.

The rest of the evening at spawn is quiet. Leowook finishes constructing the dome; nothing much else happens.

Drizzt checks if the dome, for example, has doors

Where the path leads in and out of the spawn chunks, there's an arched opening that lets you go in and out, yes; it's not even symbolically closed off. As far as non-symbolically, it's not a cube of obsidian, it's made of glass on top of dirt; it's trivial to get in and out wherever you want.

So he's a little less concerned than he was, but he still very much does not like it. It would be trivial to block the archways in a fight, for example.

drizzt whispers to princezam: the dome is done.

PrinceZam whispers to Drizzt: ok

It's obviously a power grab but Zam's not really that worried about it, especially since he's an APO member and presumably in Leo's good graces. He passes the message on to Mapicc anyway.

Drizzt goes to kill some spiders (he still feels weird about doing that) so he has webs in case of a future confrontation with the APO.

The day passes.

The next day--well, the next afternoon, really; Drizzt is starting to get a sense of when people are around and doing things--there are quite a few people at spawn. And in chat. There are some people Drizzt has seen a lot (Mapicc and Zam), some people that Drizzt has seen sometimes but not often (Rekrap, Spoke, Leowook, Pangi), and one person (BranzyCraft) who Drizzt has never heard of.

Depending on whether Drizzt goes to spawn immediately, he may also see a couple of Leowook and Spoke death messages in chat, but no one seems upset; the tone of chat is definitely lighthearted and silly, although its contents often veer into the somewhat incomprehensible.

He goes to spawn as soon as he sees the death messages, and immediately relaxes when there isn't a fight to the actual- death going on.

There is absolutely not; approximately everyone is laughing, as far as Drizzt can tell. There's a new ugly thrown-together house of birch logs! Nearby, there's a forest on fire! There are chests for collecting people's stuff post-death, which prove to be necessary as Leowook (wearing a PrinceZam ... disguise of some sort?) is killed and explodes into stacks of obsidian. Spoke is also wearing a disguise of some sort; Leo and Spoke cycle through all sorts of various disguises, and also die a lot, but (after the first death) they have their bed set and the attackers give the hearts back. It's definitely a chaotic scene, and occasionally the sound of joking screams carries, but even then they're still usually laughing, no one's potted up, and many people aren't even wearing armor; it's certainly not a particularly serious battle. The only heart actually lost is when Leo dies to a creeper at one point. It's kind of hard to tell what's... going on? The signs that one might expect to be labeling things are mostly inane--there's one reading "PrinceZam sucks" on the outside of the building, and another two placed in the ground reading "RIP Tree 5" and "Respwect". Chat doesn't clarify anything much either.

A fight where people are laughing loudly is almost as foreign as death that one automatically comes back from.

Is the forest at risk of burning something important?

Nope. People--mostly Pangi and Rekrap--seem to have successfully prevented it from spreading too close to either the church (where Pangi is, mostly not interacting with the main group except for occasionally getting into small slapfights with Zam) or the new birch building (where Rekrap is, in the middle of the chaos).
