He nods.  "I appreciate you answering my questions."

Drizzt didn't actually have that many questions. He didn't ask what the memberships got you or what else the APO sold or how many memberships there were or how much it cost to buy one or whether it was a scam or who the existing members are or any of the other questions that Leo has been answering pretty regularly.

"Sure, anytime. Pleasure talking to you."

Drizzt clambers over the wall to leave.

Hmmmm. Probably still not trustworthy enough to add to the Team Awesome group chat, but it might be worth making a new one with Drizzt if they do end up doing more things together. At the very least, he should let Roshambo and Zam know that they have a new ally. ...Or maybe just Roshambo? Nah, if Zam had to pick between Team Awesome and the APO he'd pick Team Awesome, no point hiding this from him when they could be using him as a mole. (He had better pick Team Awesome.) Mapicc sends a message in the Team Awesome group chat letting them know that Drizzt is a tentative ally against the APO, and another message to just Zam asking about potential plans they can do with Zam undercover as an APO member.

Drizzt does not need gear, he has been doing so much bed and normal mining. Not that Mapicc needs to know that. 

You can be doing a lot of mining and still end up low on xp bottles, or potions, or ender pearls, want to switch out a sword with knockback for one without. Or you can die and lose all your stuff! Many possibilities.

After a bit, Zam hesitantly approaches. "Um. Hi."

...why is Zam here?

"Hello?" 

"I, um, Mapicc said you were, um, our ally again? Maybe? And I wanted to say, um, I'm really sorry about Medusa. I didn't actually, um, know about it, for most of it, I actually almost betrayed them, but, um. I didn't. Yeah. Um. I guess I just. Wanted to say that? Because it, um, it wasn't--I don't know, I'm rambling, I'm sorry. I just wanted to, um, apologize. Yeah."

"--I do appreciate you apologising." Zam seems so terrified. "I didn't know either." 

"Yeah, I, um. I got that. That's--why I'm apologizing, if you knew it would be different probably, but. Yeah." Drizzt... probably doesn't want to kill him, because Drizzt is an ally now. And if Drizzt did want to kill him that would be fairly justified, all things considered, and Zam would let him do it. So it's fine and he should not be freaking out this much for a simple conversation.

"Why did you do it?"

"Um, Mapicc and Ro wanted me to, and it was, um, honestly it was just... really exciting that they trusted me enough to tell me about it? They've been my friends for a while, and then they were, like, telling me their secret plans and asking for help, so I just sort of... said yes. I didn't want to, like, let them down. And then I was in it, you know? Like, I was just as much a part of it as they were. And they were still my friends, and it made them happy when I helped them, and even when I thought maybe I should betray them I still--didn't want to betray them."

That's... that's a lot.  "I didn't want to betray them either."

"I mean, they lied to you, that's--different, I think. I don't think they really-- thought of it as a betrayal? I mean, I definitely didn't. Like, you weren't on Team Awesome, you were anti-Medusa, they turned out to be Medusa. It's not like we were betrayed by Subz or Poafa or whoever. I mean, if anything, we betrayed you, we're the ones who were, like, lying to you about being anti-Medusa. But I've been on Team Awesome with them for a few months, I left Pangi for them, we did a bunch of stuff together, they trusted me enough to bring me in on it, if I did something, that'd definitely be a betrayal. And I... don't really have anyone else? I'm pretty sure Parrot and Pangi both hate me, I helped with the prison, I helped with Medusa, I've, um. Burned a lot of bridges. But Mapicc and Ro, they're, they're good to me."

He's quite sympathetic to the isolation. "I-- I wish they weren't Medusa. But that's because they were good to me too."

"Yeah." Pause. "They'd probably let you join if you wanted, I think Mapicc likes you? If Mapicc and I both vouch for you that's majority vote. And Roshambo at least doesn't want to be enemies, I think he'd be fine with it. Um, I guess you're already sort of allied again, so that makes sense, I guess. And, um, we did--we did do Medusa. So if you don't want to then that's, um, totally fine, I get it, no big deal. Sorry. I was, um, apologizing for that, not--sorry."

"Maybe I'll join." He sighs. "I have seen people do a lot worse than Medusa. I have had people lie to me worse than Medusa. But-- they tricked me into thinking it was Poafa, and it's going to take-- more proof that they mean well to change how I feel."

"Ro definitely means well. I think. But, um, you probably shouldn't believe me about things, given--everything."

"--I don't expect liars to apologise?"
