"I wonder if there's organic chemistry software."

"Yeah, I don't think I can necessarily use it to figure out what's going to happen to the sun but there's a chance. It might also be useful for understanding this place's technology."

"True. Helps to have something you can fiddle with, sometimes."

"Yeah. It does."

"You can go by the mall later, I think we have plans for the morning."

"Yeah, I'll stick around for that."

"Probably a good idea. Though I don't know if we need everyone."

"Yeah, but I'm the one best suited to explaining the whole neutron star thing if people have questions."

"Fair point."

At this point Dave returns with a subdued John and Jade in tow.

"Breakfast for the sleepyheads?", says Dave.

Emily serves pancakes.

Alex explains what might be coming for Earth.

"Yeah, we heard." says Jade, "I guess we'd better get comfy here."

"It looks like it."

"Which means we should definitely go exploring!"

"We should make contact with the other groups first."

"Yeah, that's probably for the best."

"Yeah, I guess."

Munching on pancakes.

Emily finishes off the pancakes and cleans up the kitchen. She waits for everyone to be finished then clears away the plates into the dishwasher.

"Alright, so anybody have preferences on which color we visit first?"

"The one we're least likely to meet by any route except the elevators is white. They're a hundred and forty kilometers away through the mall. Also, we should probably not send everyone. The elevator would be crowded and it might seem aggressive."

"I think I'm going to go, I understand the explanation about Earth best."

"I'm not attached to going, but I will if not many other people want to."

"I kinda want to go, I wonder if the other home complexes look the same."

"Dave, you should also be in the group, not everyone will react well to the news and um, I think you're the only one of us who even begins to know what to do in a fight."
