Emily wanders in while she's finding a seat. "Good morning, have you noticed that the sun it's a different color here?"

Alex winces. "Emily, we're getting news from Earth. And the news is saying that a neutron start is on a collision course with the sun."

"I wonder if that's related to the picture on the puzzle."

"What picture?"

"There's a picture of a star doing weird things on one of the puzzles in the games room."

"Like what?"

"Like the images I've seen of solar flares but a lot more intense."

"Maybe. Anyway, we should definitely try to get in touch with the other groups once everyone is awake. Exchange information."

"That sounds like a good idea."

"I like to think I have those occasionally."

(Dave snorts)

"Of course you have good ideas, you're studying to be a doctor and doing well at it."

"Most of the time anyway.....though it might be a moot point now."

"You have a 3.93 GPA. That isn't easy to maintain."

"Have you been hacking into school records?"

"I memorized the GPAs of everyone who's last name started with I."

"Ooookay then. Moving on."

"I'm going to make pancakes." Emily walks off and starts doing exactly that.

And Anna will finish her cereal.

Claire wanders in and Alex tells her about the neutron star. She goes to hug Emily who increases the size of her batch.

Rose shows up.

"Is that pancakes I smell?

"Pancakes and existential despair." says Dave.

"We'll have enough pancakes to share."

"Life on Earth might be wiped out tomorrow."

"I see." Raised eyebrow.

"If it happens it'll be very pretty. Aurora Borealis all over the planet only more."

"Clearly an important consideration."
