"You mean you have a map? That would be really useful," says Ajay.

"Yeah, maybe we could find them before they get into trouble that way," agrees Betty. "If they haven't already."

"I hope they're alright. Do you know how many of them there are?"

"We counted everyone up, there were thirty of us last night before they left and the two of us stayed behind so twenty-eight."

"Not a map, just names of locations, but it's better than exactly nothing."

"Maybe, it'd at least tell us if they're all still alright," says Ajay

"What other positions are there?" asks Betty.

"There's security, janitor, medical tech, and gardener."

"What does a gardener do?" asks Betty

"Monitor the greenhouses, there's probably one in the building here, and some others outside. The day to day stuff seems to be automated, so it's just monitoring and telling them what crops to grow and such." says Jade.

"Huh, I'm studying agriculture, that might be right up my alley," says Betty.

"None of that seems like something I'd be experienced with so I guess I'll try for the security position, assuming you can't already do it."

"Nah, it's all per area."

"Alright, can you show us?" asks Ajay.

"Sure, and we can hang around a bit in case you have questions."

Ajay and Betty start walking down to the library, making idle small talk along the way. It arises that Ajay was studying to be an elementary school teacher.

"Maybe you can be the first in our new society."

"I'm not sure I want to wait that long, so I'll need something else to do in the meantime but maybe."

"Yeah, it'll be years before there's a call for elementary school. I was studying psychology. I expect there to be a call for that much sooner."

Betty smiles sadly. "That's for sure."

Ajay nods gravely. 

They arrive at the Library and Emily explains how the job application process works.

"So, any tips on what we should be studying?"

Dave has suggestions about which articles are useful for security. Jade has some suggestions about plant related articles.

"You'll probably want to copy down some of the list of symbols."

Ajay and Betty nod and ask some clarifying questions then get to studying. After a short time, they'll take their respective tests and become the two newest employees of this strange place.

"So, how do I check where everyone is?" asks Ajay.

Dave shows him.

All twenty-eight of the others are in something called Biosphere 1.

"Well that's something? It sounds like it might have food at any rate," says Betty.

"Yeah, hopefully," agrees Ajay.
