"Yeah. Kinda cool but weird."

"You said you were going to introduce us to everyone else? How many people is that do you know?"

"I think there were about forty people who showed up last night. Twenty of us stayed after the fight," says Yumiko.

"We really should introduce you to the others."

"Alright lead on then."

Anita nods and brushes her clothes off before leading the way to the door at the back of the kitchen. She leads the way down to the Library. There are a couple people milling around the shelves or sitting in the seats and one person is sitting at one of the computer consoles. "Hey guys, apparently the people who went to the black party figured out how the elevators work and they came to visit. I think we're going to meet in the library or it's the least messy place. I'm going to go try to find everyone else." She walks off towards the game room.

"So, I guess Yumiko and Anita told you the story of what happened last night?" says the man working on the computer.

"We did," agrees Yumiko.

"I'm Frediano, Fred for short."

"Nice to meet you."

The others milling about the library also drift over and introduce themselves.

"Nice to meet you guys. I'm Linda."

"I'm Jade and this sourpuss is Dave."

"I'm Alex and this is Emily."

"So, how did you manage to get the elevators working? Can we go home?"

"I think we should maybe wait for everyone to answer that in full, but the short answer is that we're probably stuck here."

"So you have bad news," says Fred.

"Yeah, we do."

"Is there any good news to go with the bad?" asks one of the others.

"We have a smart med-student in our group and she thinks with training and experience the clinics will let us live forever."

"Really? That seems a little far fetched."

Alex shrugs. "I don't think she was lying but I don't have the knowledge to verify her claim."

"Wouldn't surprise me, there's some serious tech going on here."

"I've been reading their physics textbooks and while I can't guarantee that they're right without having done the experiments myself it seems very convincing."

"Huh, that's something."

A couple of people chime in with questions on physics and what they've discovered so far about this place.

Alex answers the questions he's suited to answer and delegates those he isn't.

And then Anita returns with the rest of her group.

"Alright, I think this is everyone."

"So, the bad news is that there's a neutron star on a collision course with the sun back in the solar system. We don't know for sure how bad that will be for Earth but it probably won't be good unless our presence here is a complete coincidence."
