Kumi raises an eyebrow.

"You two are brothers?"

"Mmmhm. Same father, anyway." The half-orc watches Ember as she lines up on the target, the dagger firm in her hand. "You know, I would say your friend here really does know something."

Ember is a picture of focus as she lines up her shot. 

With a single firm flick of her wrist, she throws the dagger end over end. It flashes through the air, sinks directly into the center of the target, and sticks.

The half-elven proprietor claps. "Well done, well done! Here's your ring!" He passes Ember a small, simply ornamented ring with a wave pattern on it. He looks over at Kumi and Rose. "Would you two like to try as well?"

"Oh, why not." Rose smiles and hands over a silver piece of her own. "Give me a shot."

The proprietor pulls the knife out of the target and hands it back to Rose. "Here you go," he says. "Three shots!"

Rose lines up on the target and readies herself as best she can.

"Your posture is off. Don't try and spin it deliberately, it'll happen on its own if you get the throw right."

"Alright." Rose adjusts her grip.

"Try it!"

Rose flicks her fingers, and the knife goes flying down the lane and bounces off the target hilt-first.

"Awwww, bad luck. Again!" He hands the knife back to Rose.

Kumi looks over at the half-orc. "So who are you two, anyway?"

"I'm Quar and he's Galamere. Thinking you'll come back again sometime?"

"Perhaps, yes. We're planning to start a business near here."

"Much luck to you with that," Quar says. "Place could use a few more honest businesswomen." His hand moves on the sketchpad, flicking through motions.

"What are you sketching there?"

"You, actually." He grins slightly. "An extra prize for if your girlfriend sinks this throw."

Kumi looks back over at Rose, who's made her second throw while she wasn't looking. "Good luck!"

Rose throws the knife a third time. This time it sticks, but in the very edge of the target.

"Aw. I can't give you a pewter ring for that, but my brother'll have a sketch for you. Quar?"

The half-orc steps forward, peels the top sheet of his artwork off, and passes it to Rose. "Here," he says.

Rose looks at the sketch on the paper and breaks down into giggles.

Ember looks at the paper and raises an eyebrow, but a small smile comes to her lips as well.
