"Works for me."

Yaaaawn.

Nod, hmmm.

"It's so nice out, I think I'll go take a walk around the lake before bed."

"Okay. I'll see you tomorrow."

Ana hugs the kobold and Raafi, then use the ring to teleport back to Tython.

The next morning, the kobold brings Raafi to the cafeteria for breakfast.

Ana makes space for them both next to her.

Raafi sits next to Ana, with the kobold on his other side. He starts on his muffin, and after a bit: "May I ask you to tell me what this is?" he indicates one of the things on his plate - it seems like he's taken portions of the three least familiar things that were on offer.

"The orange fluffy? That's the Oro egg scramble. This one's the dewback bacon, and that's a medley of local greens."

"And what are Oro like? I imagine birds of some sort?"

"Yeah, flightless. They start off about this big," she cups her hands, "and grow to almost two meters."

"Similar to ostriches, perhaps, though ostriches aren't kept for eggs that I'm aware of." Nom.

Nom!

"I dunno what an ostrich is. I don't think we have them."

"Ostriches are flightless birds of my home world, similar in size to an Oro; most of the height is in the neck and legs. They're drab brown or black with white extremities, and they tend to be temperamental."

"Temperamental, check. But Oro birds tend to have colorful plumage, and don't have especially long necks."

"We can visit an ostrich-farming town when you come to see my world, if you like. Ostriches are used as mounts, occasionally, particularly for races - they're very fast."

Giggle. "I don't think you could use an Oro bird as a mount."

He smiles. "It will be a new experience, then."

Yay for new experiences!

Breakfast breakfast, and then it is class time.

Breakfast breakfast class time! Raafi tags along and introduces himself to the other students when they get to the courtyard.

He is greeted politely. The young Zabrak smiles at him in much the same way Ana did.

The Zabrak gets a smile and a wink for his trouble, and then the kobold leads the group to her cave, where class proceeds more or less as usual - Raafi hangs around for the first few minutes, then disappears to the surface. The kobold continues to give her two more advanced students some extra attention; how are the other three reacting to that?

They're doing their best to catch up! The gap is closing, slowly but steadily.

Good! She's not going to slow the pair down, but she'll start going a little quicker with the others.

Raafi returns about half an hour before the end of class and starts preparing lunch.

Magic progress! Yay!

The class leaves at the end of the morning.

All of the class? 'Cause Raafi sure is making eyes at the Zabrak as they're wrapping up for the day.

Ana pokes him, and he agrees to stay for lunch.
