Ana follows.

Ana is ambushed by two of the water elementals! They attempt to turn her around so she's heading back the way she came.

The way one deals with water elementals is: one gets out of the water. Ana leaps up much further than is strictly plausible and splashes down next to the kobold.

The kobold dives for the bottom of the lake.

The kobold can hold her breath surprisingly long, but she'll have to breathe eventually. When she nears the midway point of her capabilities, she gives up and heads back to the surface, attempting to dodge past Ana with a diagonal teleport from in front of her and below to behind her and above.

Where'd Raafi go?

Tricksy, tricksy kobold! She continues heading for the surface.

Raafi is hanging out by the edge of the lake where there's a stand of plants growing out of the water, watching the two of them.

Ana surfaces and swims over. It's almost dinnertime.

The kobold follows, heading a little ways from the humans to shake herself dry before rejoining them. "Any idea what you want to do for dinner?"

"Milliways takeout?"

The kobold looks to Raafi, and he nods agreeably, so she leads the way to the portal back up the cliff. It's a bit hidden, on this side; not behind the waterfall, that would be too obvious, but off to the side and in a fold of rock so it's not readily visible if you don't already know it's there.

In short enough order they're back at the cave, and the kobold goes to order dinner, but Raafi goes "may I?" and she hands the twineportal off to him. The end result is a mix-and-match selection of bland but interestingly textured finger foods and exotic dips in all sorts of strong flavors to apply to them.

Raafi has good ideas. Ana likes Raafi.

Has Ana tried the chocolate chili pepper dip yet? Raafi offers her a cookie with it.

Nomno- oh goodness that is an interesting flavor! Ana approves!

Raafi smiles and continues working his way through the selection, offering her a few more things as he comes across ones he thinks she'll like that she hasn't tried yet.

Hee. He has good taste.

He is pleased to be of service.

Eventually, the kobold scoops up the last bit of lemon sauce on the last poppyseed cracker, and Raafi offers Ana the last scoop of minted pineapple jelly on the last wafer cookie. "That was delicious," says the kobold. "Today has been really nice."

"Yeah, it has been."

"Indeed it has."

"I might need the necklace tomorrow afternoon; Satele's going to be talking to Occlus again soon and even if that's not tomorrow, I changed the meeting area around and I'll need to show them."

"Okay. I need to go for another round of meditation walkthroughs again anyway. Sorry, Raafi."

"Your craft takes priority," he smiles. "I would however be interested in observing, once translation is again available."

"From the outside it's mostly just us sitting around with our eyes closed, but if you want."

Raafi grins, amused and pleased.

"I don't think I'll be gone long," says the kobold. "Half an hour, maybe. And I think I remember where the meditation rooms were, we could come find you, if that's okay."
