Hand, hand, Milliways.

The kobold solicits a pamphlet from Bar that explains the different jetpack models and hands it to Kira. "The aerobatics model is an obvious choice for Ana, and I like the observer model; you can get whatever you like."

The aerobatics model has good speed and excellent control; the observer model has less speed, but just as good control while flying, and a hover mode with even finer control. There's also a speedster model, a transit model (strictly inferior to the aerobatics or speedster; intended as a lower-cost option for mundane use), a cargo model, the training model with its simplified controls and autopilot, and an instructor model that combines the flight features of an observer model with the ability to take over the controls of a linked jetpack while hovering.

"Anything named 'speedster' was obviously designed specifically for me. I'll try that one."

The kobold grins. "All right. Aerobatics for you, Ana? And I'll get an observer model, please, Bar."

The two requested jetpacks appear.

"Aerobatics, yep!"

Time for flying!

Flying is the best thing, it really is.

The kobold is a little less into it than usual, but Ana is probably too busy with Kira to notice, and the kobold puts on a pretty good act when that's not the case.

Ana and Kira do get a sort of feedback loop thing going, yeah. They are very energetic and competitive and altogether adorable.

Good. That actually does help the kobold's mood, some.

Eventually, she maneuvers to interrupt them. Milliways' translation makes her sign language understandable: Do they want to land for dinner?

"Damn, I'm actually starving. I think I forgot to eat lunch."

"That's two votes for dinner, then!"

The kobold leads them in for a landing, giggling. On the way in, she explains that their meal options are near-literally anything and suggests that they get a family-style meal - each order one or two dishes and share them all.

This is a good suggestion! Ana gets full-sized versions of two of her favorite sampler platter items. Kira orders a plate of Gundark ears, triangle-shaped chunks of meat covered in batter and fried, fiendishly hot.

The kobold contributes a tray of rabbit kebabs with asparagus and pearl onions in a sweet glaze, and a bowl of crispy fried root vegetable chunks of various types.

Nom!

Nom indeed. This is quite the task they have set before themselves.

Indeed so; it may yet defeat them.

The Gundark ears certainly defeat the kobold, at least. She takes one bite and orders a glass of milk, eyes streaming.

"Yeah, those are a little spicy."

"Just the way I like 'em."

The kobold grins at Kira over her glass of milk and takes another helping of veggies.

Eventually dinner is defeated. Kira takes most of the credit for the Gundark ears, but Ana helps.

Huzzah!

"Next time we've got to remember to leave room for dessert," the kobold opines.

"Whoo! That's... a good idea."

Grin.

"Okay, I've got stuff to do; I can take you home now, or if you want to hang around for a while, the door will lead to the last doorway you went to."

Ana and Kira share a look.

"We'll stay here for a bit," they say in unison, then break into giggles.

The kobold grins at the two of them. "Okay. Before I go - Ana, I have that meeting tomorrow morning; I expect to be back for lunch, but don't worry if I'm not. I'll look for you when I get back."

"Okay. Be safe."

"I will." Hug. Poof.

Next stop: Satele's room.
