Kobold: good at being quiet and undistracting.

After a while, Raafi shows up and makes a face at the kobold, and she goes and gives him the translation necklace and returns to snuggling.

Eventually, it's dinnertime.

Satele will stay in her room.

Ana is in the cafeteria!

The kobold makes her way to the cafeteria at a reasonable time. Raafi's slightly late.

"I'm going to be late for the game tomorrow, I expect. I'll try to catch the end of it, though, where will it be?"

"We're actually gonna have it at the new fields."

"Oh, cool. I'll be there, then."

"Yay!"

...that sure is Raafi wanting the kobold's attention.

...that sure is Raafi and the kobold having some sort of entirely nonverbal discussion. Raafi is... trying to talk the kobold into something, maybe?

Headtilt?

After a few seconds, she snarls at him, not especially aggressively considering, but definitely that. He seems slightly surprised at this, and backs down; she calms right down and goes back to eating and leaning on Ana as if nothing happened.

Um. What.

"Um. What."

The kobold shoots Raafi a look before answering. "Raafi and I have different ideas about what risks are all right to take, sometimes. It's fine."

"Uh. Okay."

Pat pat.

Lean. Nom. "The reception area should be done by the end of the day tomorrow, anyway, and ready to start using." Grin.

"That's good!"

"Mmhmm." Hug. "I'll be keeping an eye on it for the first while, to see if the spells need to be adjusted or anything, but that's pretty much that project done, from my perspective. Then it's just teaching you guys the magic and whatever catches my eye to do - I'd like to see about relocating slaves next, probably, if there's someplace already set up to take them."

"You just don't stop!"

"I just had a nice month off," she giggles. "But no, not really." Hug!

Eventually, bedtime. Ana gets hugs from the kobold and Raafi, and the kobold wishes her good luck at the game tomorrow, and the teleport back to the cave.

"You aren't going to tell them that Occlus is also learning your magic?"

"Not right now, no. And don't you, either, I meant that."

"Very well."

The next morning, there is breakfast. The most important meal of the day, especially on game day.

And the kobold and Raafi, who seem to be in a better mood with each other. Raafi's all about the smiles and eye contact this morning, which the kobold seems to find amusing, and there's interesting things from Milliways to supplement all three's meals.
