Little smile from Hana, who declines to say words right now. (People do not have nametags at this wedding. It is oppressing her, personally.)

Woo-young peers at her.

Then gets himself a name tag.

They all have commscreens they can just do this.

Oh yeah good idea.

Hey legit sure.

"Can you attach screens to other people, I think there's a bunch of non espers at other tables."

Woo-young!!!! That's so embarrassing, but also so sweet, she wishes to melt into a little socially awkward puddle of affection. Rude. (It's not, it's very thoughtful.)

Hana is not very good at displaying an affection in public, but. ... She does covertly find his hand to give it a little 'thank you' squeeze.

And then yes she will put her own nametag on. With the name she's known by under it. ... And also her age. And pronouns. Look. It would make it easier for her if all of the Koreans declared their age and pronouns. Hana can mostly assume she's younger than literally everyone, but it gets tricky if she needs to talk about how people relate to each other in Korean.

(Ow why does that hurt???? The - casual thoughtfulness from Woo-young towards Hana, specifically, it - ow???? Why ow????)

Doesn't matter, introspection is for people who are not her right now, she can banter and put her nametag (with screenname and age, for Hana) on and have all of her feelings neatly in a nice little box.

"I'm pretty sure we can, though it has a range limit, so they'll go poof once the name-tag giver leaves the party."

"So we make noona and hyung do it, they're legally obligated to stay here until the end, it's their wedding."

"I think they probably have enough to deal with right now," snorts Hye-jin. "It's rude to dump more problems on the bride and groom at their wedding, you know."

"Hmmmm maybe."

"So I don't like standing in line for food and I vote we go grab it before all of the awkward Koreans at this party decide it's okay to be the first ones to do it than wait until they're all done, who's with me "

"Aye!"

"I vote some of us stay at the table and get served like royalty," says Hye-jin, brightly. "It would mean less crowding at the buffet. And I think we're pretty neatly paired off, and accordingly know each other's preferences?"

Oh, excellent, that sounds like a task to do that does not involve talking even a little bit. Hana can fetch food! Is Woo-young fine with her fetching food for them both? Please? Pretty please??

"Well that works. And hyung can even carry more people's plates with I Can't Believe It's Not Telekinesis."

"Oh I'm being voluntold, am I."

"Yep. You'll do as instructed and you'll like it."

"Yes, sir."

Yoo-min will of course be the one to grab food for Seungjoo.

Hooray! A helpful task for her to do! Hana is pleased. Admittedly she's very subtle about being pleased, but. Nonetheless. Pleased is what she is.

Which is all to say: yes obviously she's fetching food for Woo-young. Literally why would she not do that.

Cute.

.... shit, wait, now what does she do? She doesn't have a social script to follow anymore, and she just cleverly delegated away the nice easy task to do instead of making social sounds. And trusted acquisition of her food to Tae-gun, who... probably knows her tastes well enough by now? Probably?? She thinks??? Eh, if he fucks it up, she can wait to eat until she's back home, it'll be fine. It is low stakes if he fails.

(Him fucking it up is unlikely, but, well. ..... he could.)

Peer. "Hye-jin. Did you know that polar bears aren't left-handed?"

???? she blinks in confusion at the non-sequitur. what?????

"I. No? I did not know that?"

"They're actually ambidextrous! There is no scientific evidence to support the widespread myth that they are all left-handed."

"I. Didn't really spend much of my time considering the hand - paw? - dominance of polar bears, to be honest." Pause. "And there's a widespread myth about it??? And it's been scientifically disproven??? By whom? And why???"

Hye-jin: successfully distracted from her shit!

"I don't know by whom but I think the why is because of the persistent myth. People even claimed stuff like that they only scratched their noses with their left paws! But they use both paws. Also for tool use and hunting."
