"Hm, alright. Lead the way?"

To the bathhouse?

It's that way! Zephyrinus looks around with interest.

When they reach the plaza the bathhouse looks out on, they'll find the fountains there running, shooting water high into the air in intricate patterns.

The bathhouse itself is a tall, unevenly terraced building, some of those terraces filled with pools, others not. The edges of the pool-less ones are spaces for greenery - wild, overgrown dark flowers of undeterminable colour spill out of them over the side of the building, lending the air their sweet, heady scent.

The water in the lower pool terraces spills over the edge to fall in certain parts of the next one down, while the upper ones are serene and still. A light steam rises up off the pools, leaving what they can see of the covered parts of the building hazy and indistinct.

The entrance is on the ground, facing the plaza, but of course they can just land on one if the terraces.

Jaim does so, landing on the highest one.

"Gods, this City," he exclaims, looking down over the edge to admire the view.

(Wanderer giggles, pleased.)

"It's amazing. I don't think I have ever seen that much bath water in my life."

"Sanctuary has heated pools," he says, "Though the buildings are wider and shorter, and they're all indoors. This is... something else. It might just be that my affinities are Water and Air, but this City seems so much more beautiful to me."

He turns to the pool on this level, padding over to it to test the temperature with a toe. It's very warm, and growing hotter as Wanderer works on heating it.

Zephyrinus mimics the gestures. "Oof. I think this will be less comfortable for me than for you, but still interesting." He sits down at the edge and then pushes himself in.

"That form doesn't do well in heat, I take it? Should you limit how long you stay in, then?" He asks, looking over with concern. He pulls the Nomad's holster off his back, setting them to the side, and steps down onto the ledge just inside the pool, and then farther to the bottom of it, the water coming up to his ribs.

"These don't rust, do they?" He also asks, tapping his right wing.

"I should avoid overheating, but this is also the form that," he puts his hand in the water, with a grabbing motion, and when he pulls the hand out there is a ice ball in his hand, "can do this. And they don't rust. It's actually made of the same thing that nails are made. It just looks metallic."

"Oh, they are?" He looks closer. "Huh."

"So you can just ice yourself if you get too hot?" He supposes.

"Yup." He throws the ice ball up and it goes much higher than it should and explodes in a small shower of snowflakes.

He smiles as his eyes follow it, flinching back with a laugh when it explodes into snowflakes.

He threads a bit of Water mana, reaching into the pool with it to draw out a ribbon of water and twisting up into the air. It shimmers in the light, entrancing.

"I think I'll miss the wards once Wanderer lowers them," he comments, admiring it, and the rest of the water around them. "The light is lovely."

"The entire city is beautiful. There is even something beautiful about it in this state. Even if I very much want to fill it with residents, I think I will miss the serenity."

He nods, "I expect it will still be quite peaceful from the Wanderer's pedestal," he offers, motioning up at the tower, "And from your suite."

"But not so this close to the ground," he agrees, "Or even higher, with other winged people living here, once you can invite them across the worlds."

He lets the ribbon of water go, grinning as this causes them to be showered with droplets.

Snort. "Better to enjoy while it lasts." He says and he splashes Jaim.

He laughs, covering his face.

"Of course you know this means war," He says playfully, before sending a small wave back at him with a long sweep of his arm through the water.

He will fight back to the best of his indirect-hydrokinesis capabilities.

He'll only use a bit of mana here and there, remembering not to waste it all, but it does improve his accuracy. Also, he has a lot more practise at water fights, even if it has been a while.

He'll try hiding under the reflective water and rising mist, popping up somewhere unexpected, but isn't sure if he can expect this to work.

That surprises Zephyrinus enough, but he manages to use a wing to splash Jaim in quick retribution before trying the maneuver himself.

Oh yes, wings! Now that he's been reminded he can use them as well.

He's a bit too enthusiastic about it. His first try sends a wave splashing over him instead of Zephyrinus, and disturbs the mist, leaving it swirling around them.

He swipes the water out of his eyes and glares back at the wings in betrayal.

Zephyrinus laughs. "Still not used to them?" Splash.

Ack, and he'd just gotten the water out of his eyes. He laughs as well, "I'll get there!"

He tries again, this time managing to aim correctly, and sends a small wave in Zephyrinus' direction.

Snort. "Let me show you." And he approaches, with no apparent desire to turn that into a feint.

"Show me?"

He eyes him with some playful suspicion, but lets him get close without trying to splash him.

He genuinely shows how to move his wings and arms to maximize wave size. Which he claims it's something he is himself learning on the go, but it's clearly more intuitive for someone who literally didn't get their wings yesterday.

Their bodies are really close in the warm water.
