"How high can you go?"

"We can handle that. The problem is I've seen what Orochimaru could scrape together on him - he notably could run circles around people breaking the sound barrier. I'd hope he couldn't hit us five miles up, but he'll likely be faster than you."

"Hold on." She climbs in altitude with powerful strokes of her wings. She doesn't like flying this high because of the cold. Dragons crave warmth.

Karin and Itachi are fully capable of using chakra to keep themselves warm and supplied with oxygen - Karin pesters one of the Yamanaka into helping her relay the technique to Ellisaria.

They soon get an alert about Madara having taken the field, and that the leaders of the Alliance are moving as one to oppose him.

From the sonic booms echoing in the distance and the flare of enormous fires, his danger level wasn't understated - Karin spends a brief moment splitting her attention to help analyze his fighting style, and he's basically playing with his opponents right now, as far as she can tell.

Perhaps they'll be lucky, and Kabuto won't be near Madara.

Kabuto isn't near Madara - 

But he is prioritizing stopping the strike squad, and Madara thinks this is amusing enough to let himself he guided towards revealing something he'd originally planned to keep as an ace up his sleeve, as a little break from throwing Tsunade across the battlefield.

Ellisaria's warning will be Karin screaming, out loud and telepathically, "Ellisaria HARD RIGHT, he's throwing asteroids - "

She rolls and tucks her wings in, sacrificing altitude for more speed and time to dodge-

Itachi's Susano unfolds around her, reflecting the shockwave as it screams past them - 

"Two more - " Given a slight advantage on time she's able to send their location and heading.

With more warning, the next dodges aren't quite so tight, and the misses have more leeway.

The Kage harassing him stops any more attacks for now, but - "We need to finish this fast. He won't tire, and I'm not sure he has a range limit."

"Any clever ideas on that beyond what we are already doing?"

Leaning over to shout, "I'm not trusting this to the telepathy but last I heard the research teams were trying to Edo Tensei the first four Hokage, and the Fourth could apparently move near light speed in a straight line, but I don't know they'll crack it soon enough."

"I'm better at sealing than the teams they have on Madara now, and Itachi has multiple mind control techniques, so if we feel like being really dumb we could confront Madara and try to either seal or subvert him."

"Or we keep running and hope he gets distracted by killing the Alliance leaders. Sasuke's closing with him, and should be able to hold him off decently-ish maybe, since Sasuke has a mirror that reflects all techniques now..."

"We're still too far from the search area. I'm taking us in."

" - Right. I'll. Plan my seals." And she starts mumbling to herself.

The battlefield, at least, is close.

She alerts the group fighting Madara that she's coming in to strafe.

Getting distance from Madara is hard, but he's playing with them, and unconcerned about Ellisaria, so they manage it.

She comes in hard, laying down a wide swathe of shadowflame.

He sheathes himself in the same sort of ethereal warrior Sasuke likes to use - but the shadowflame is definitely at a minimum obscuring his vision.

She comes around for a landing at the end of her pass, to let her passengers get off.

They can jump from fairly high - Karin can survive a fall of hundreds of feet, and Itachi can easily do at least a thousand, even without special protective techniques - if she'd rather not slow down that much.

That depends on whether Madara has decided to take an interest in her now.

- Her shadow flame is being fought by black fire, and he's turned to start firing arrows of more of the same at her, so the answer appears to be 'yes, he has.'
