They're shifted back seamlessly, and the Sage dismisses the spirits he'd summoned, advises the remaining zombies to dismiss themselves, then vanishes.

Amaterasu looks to where he was, her lips curling, and says, "Well, that was exciting."

When Sasuke questions where she came from, she turns, and explains: she's one of the greatest of spirits, and a thousand years ago the Sage hemmed the spirit world from the world of humans. Kaguya damaged that barrier; Amaterasu will wait and see, for now, what the humans make of themselves, and if any set themselves apart enough to be worthy of rule.

"This world will be getting more interesting now. I thank you for your help today."

"I thank you, for helping defend this world."

Ellisaria dips her head in acknowledgement.

"I look forward to seeing what you all become."

And, in a haze of heat, she vanishes.

What's next, then? Waking those still trapped?

That seems to be procedure, yes, though Sasuke, Madara, and the white-haired man are off to the side in a heated debate about using the Rinnegan and the zombie technique to resurrect the fallen. (There are a lot of fallen; Sasuke's worried it'll be destabilizing, even setting aside his dislike of death).

Figure out what to do with the immortal unstoppable ninja they have already before making more would be Ellisaria's advice, if anyone cares to ask her.

The Rinnegan restores people to normal life; they'll still die of old age or injury afterwards. And it has a three day limit, is their problem, and that's nearly how long this war's been going on.

Then they should decide quickly, it seems.

(A red might have a strong opinion on the matter. She does not.)

He's sure, he just needs to bring Madara around since he's the other with the Rinnegan - it'd help if they could get Nagato back but that'd require finding another White Zetsu as a sacrifice...

They do, within the next half hour, finish their argument, and start restoring massive waves of people. It seems to be the same sacrificial technique Nagato used - except Sasuke and Madara are capable of return each other fairly easily.

A clever exploit, and well executed.

They get emergency procedures done efficiently - the resurrected sorted, the worst wounded healed, the less wounded evacuated to farther, proper hospitals rather than field tents. They get out of Ellisaria's way first, repeating their thanks for the use of her space.

Politics is going to be a nightmare, but it's the type of nightmare that diplomats take care of, not the kind for fighters.

And not the kind she needs to worry about.

Ellisaria stretches out and luxuriates in the silence and solitude, away from the busy mortals and their busy doings. She remakes her lair, both to rid it of the lingering smells and to confuse any who think they might now know their way around it. She stakes out the borders of her mountains, and as long as no one infringes upon them, she will let the mortals do as they will. The most contact they have is a black shadow occasionally winging its way between the mountains and the lake or the ocean.

After her defenses are repaired and she considers her home in good order, she takes some time to visit the dragon she met in Kabuto's cave and learn what they have to teach. It is... an experience, to be sure. And enlightening, especially considering her relationship with Amaterasu.

She decides against recreating the human body she lost. Instead, she builds herself an elven one, paler of face and longer of hair, with ears that sharpen to tips. Occasionally, a change can be nice.

And then, sometime between rebuilding and politics, Sasuke finds the time to experiment with his Rinnegan... And discovers he can open portals between universes like Kaguya could.

Including back to Azeroth.
