The tree shifts, wrapping around him, and he stands, clutching his head and glaring. "Why won't you - that world is perfect, no peace no suffering - "

"It was a lie. I will make my own world."

"This is the world I make - " he snarls, and shadows of him form, whirling around him as he attacks in a wash of fire.

You cannot kill a dragon with fire. She meets his flame with her own.

He lashes out with wood, strong against the flames, full with the pulse of the earth and the chakra still draining from the unconscious shinobi.

She pulls a pair of elementals out of the earth, each the size of a bull, to batter the wood aside.

It curls tighter, healing even as it's damaged.

She'll just have to try harder, then. The mortal has aroused her ire.

They seem to be fairly evenly matched, neither giving nor taking, until one of her blows lands, solidly, and throws him back.

He seems to be nearly out of chakra.

He struggles to his feet, snarling -

And is cut in half by the black Zetsu.

...That was unexpected.

A massive, cloying rush of chakra fills the God Tree, draining the earth of life - the people trapped of life - in the distance, Okami collapses and falls -

And a woman emerges from the flares of light. Her hair is long, pure white. Her robes are heavy, white with black marks. Horns emerge from her hair, and a third eye upon her forehead slides open.

How... demonic. Ellisaria backs off a ways.

She glances over at Naruto and Sasuke. "Hagoromo and Homura... No. You two must be Indra and Asura. Expected, really, that Hagoromo would still be interfering with me after all this time."

Then around. "This place is my nursery. Repairing it will be a pain if we damage it more. Let's stop fighting."

"This world belongs to more than you. Your presence is killing it."

"Chakra is not native to this world. It is from the fruit of the God Tree, a parasite that moves between dimensions. I was the first one here to wield it, and it was stolen from me. I do intend to fix the lack, but there are steps I must take first."

"I do not care what you say. The words of a demon cannot be trusted. I know what I feel, and I feel the earth dying. I am a black dragon, and this guardianship was entrusted to my kind. I am far from home, but I know my calling."

"Then I suppose I'll have to get you out of the way. If it's any consolation, I'll put you back when I've made my perfect world."

And a selection of them - Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Ellisaria, Madara, Hashirama - are elsewhere.

That's a pit of acid under them, acid falling from the sky - the shinobi have nothing to grab - 

That burns. No time for precise targeting, she casts a wide-area slow fall, tries to avoid hitting more acid than necessary as she wings around to grab the mortals-

Sasuke successfully summons a hawk, rescuing himself and Naruto - 

Madara's Susano seems capable of at least hovering - 

And Hashirama creates a whirlwind of trees that block some of the acid rain - and don't successfully hit the woman, but do tie her up for a few seconds.

"Resisting is pointless. You'll only hurt yourselves."

Ellisaria drenches her in shadowflame.

It slides off her hair - which animates, stabbing towards them.
