Zam's netherite mine is couple hundred blocks out; spawn is pretty mined out. But it's not that far.

And once they get there, Zam can demonstrate mining a one-block tunnel at head height, placing a bed as far away as he can reach, and then-- boom!

There's fire in the newly-cratered room. There's also a single block floating in the middle, of a sort of dark brown metallic color; Zam gasps and bridges over to mine it. "I'm so good at this! Wow! I've never been good at bed mining, I'm really happy. I guess it's fate."

Beds are explosive. That's... good to know. "That's netherite?"

"Ummmm yeah! Or well technically it's ancient debris but you use that to make netherite."

"Well, that's quick progress then." 

"Yeah!" He walks a bit more, breaking a line along the top of the hallway as he goes. At a seemingly arbitrary spot he stops and repeats the placement of the bed and the explosion; the metallic brown isn't visible this time, although there's a mix of black and gray rocks in with the red. He doesn't react, just keeps walking. "Ummmm I've got extra wool and wood, you can take half of it and do some mining for yourself? Oh, and, um, it's better to mine along chunk borders."

"Thank you, I appreciate it." He makes a mental note to pay Zam back for the wool and wood, and starts mining in the opposite direction. (And mostly not blowing himself up.) 

They can mine for a while. And then, after about an hour:

Poafa has reached the goal [Postmortal]

Zam shrieks a little and runs back to Drizzt. "This is proof, right? This is proof! Oh my goodness--wait, Drizzt, you weren't even there earlier, you don't know what Mapicc and Ash and I talked about--I'll have him send it in group chat later--we caught him! We caught him!"

"That was the trap going off? We should get to spawn quickly." 

"I mean, probably. It could be something else. You're right, we should go check." Running back to spawn!!!

Running back to spawn!

At spawn, the pig is mostly blown up; its face is intact but its body is entirely gone.

Well, somebody was interacting with the pig statue.

Is anybody else at spawn?

Poafa is, and PlanetLord! And now Drizzt and Zam. Mapicc and Roshambo step out of a portal not long after.

Drizzt tries to put himself on the opposite side of Poafa compared to Zam, so it's harder for him to run. 

Mapicc and Roshambo don't look like they're aiming for a fight, at least not right now; their body language is relaxed, and they're not holding potions. Mapicc isn't even holding a sword. They walk over to the crater and lean over.

"That is one deep hole."

"What happened, bro?" 

"I was going to the pig because it had a lot of dirt in the chests? And then a skulk sensor went off and then just, a fuckton of TNT."

To Mapicc: "Was there dirt in the chests?"

"I dunno? Probably. I'd ask Bacon or Planet, they were Jaron's teammates."

"Yes, there was." And he told Poafa about it. But Drizzt doesn't need to know that.

"Was there anybody else at spawn when Poafa died." Medusa had so far been avoiding witnesses.

"Just me. I think it was just me, anyway."

"So, not an alibi."

"Dude, I'm here getting dirt so I can terraform spawn since all the builds are gone and it's leaving, like, weird flat patches. I know you did a lot of mining them too, and you stood guard, okay, but you and I have literally done most of the work of fixing spawn."
