He has not had to grapple with the fact his link to her is apparently possible to destroy.

"That's the plan, yeah. He'd probably ban you, too. How'd you do it? I promise I won't snitch. I mean, I've already got enough dirt on you that I could, so it won't hurt either way."

"The egg was with me the whole time,  I'd just never realised it was unusual."

"Huh. Okay. Well, uh, if the egg comes back, put it in an echest or something until you can use it, don't risk dying with it. I can go through how people might react but it's safer for everyone if it just doesn't come up."

"I think an enderchest has become my top priority."

"Oh, I got you." Mapicc puts down his enderchest, grabs a spare from it, drops the spare to Drizzt, and then mines back the one he's using.

"It's a shame we can't have Guen help openly, she could be good for catching Medusa."

"We should start collecting the evidence it's Poafa. And everyone else, but like, let's be honest."

"If we get much more I think we should call a trial. Maybe even spawntrap him and ban him if it's conclusive enough."

"A trial would be good." Points for this place having what appears to be a functional justice system?

"Okay. Evidence... The creation of the cleanup crew, right before the petrification started. The night he was guard on his own, the courthouse was petrified, but the night you stood guard with him, the ship didn't. I don't know if that's enough for a trial, yet, but we can start collecting it. --We should call ourselves something. Not cleanup crew, since that's Poafa's."

"Against Medusa Team?" He is not good at names.

"What about Perseus? Since he slayed Medusa, in the myth."

"You're such a fucking nerd, bro. How long have you been waiting to suggest this."

"Shut up, bro." (His voice is light; a bit embarrassed, but not angry, and there's a laugh in it, too.)

"No, seriously, how long."

"Um. Two days?"

Mapicc laughs, not mean-spiritedly. "Okay, bro, we can be Perseus. I'll make a group chat, we can keep a record of the evidence."

He has friends! He's helping them achieve good things! Guenhwyvar is back!

Today has been very good. 

Roshambo sends screenshots in the group chat: Poafa making cleanup crew; the night that Poafa kept watch and saw nobody but then the ship was petrified anyway. 

Today was--definitely an eventful day. But Guenhwyvar makes it a good one, Ro thinks.

Drizzt makes a note that he didn't see Poafa do anything while he was on watch with him, but also nothing got petrified when he was with him.
