"Yes please, that'd be awesome."

(A few of Roshambo's hands have stopped petting Guenhwyvar to face Mapicc, twitching a bit in the air in the way that Mapicc knows is amused-fond.)

"Guenhwyvar?"

Guenhwyvar has gone into a crouch, ready to spring.

Mapicc's switching between holding his sword and holding strength pots in his main hand; in his offhand he's got a totem. He tries to move as unpredictably as he can in a small space.

"Can I fight back or am I just doing pure defense?"

Ideally he'd change his kit for the latter, switch out all the strengths for turtle master, slowness, regen. Add more xp, it's gonna suck to get everything back if she breaks his armor. Switch his totem for a shield, maybe, but that much he can do on the fly. Worst case scenario he's pretty confident he can escape; there's no way Guenhwyvar is making it through a one-block gap, she can't take his water, and she can't mine. 

Drizzt smiles. "Go ahead."

Grin. "Awesome."

Strength-speed-fire res, on autopilot; he realizes a moment too late that the fire res is also not necessary against Guenhwyvar, he should've replaced it before taking the fight. A mistake to fix next time. He doesn't have carts or rails on him to see how she would react to that but he's got his bow, his tools and armor are all almost fully repaired, and he's got nearly a full fight inventory--potions, cobwebs, golden apples, golden carrots, ender pearls, blocks. He's ready for this.

Guenhwyvar leaps.

There isn't cover or anything to climb onto, so she's just going to use momentum and claws.

Wow, Mapicc is not used to this hitbox; Guenhwyvar gets some advantage from that. Also from the fact that claws work well on cobwebs, and that she doesn't need to pause to eat or xp like he does.

But Mapicc gets advantage from the setting--a small, bare room--and, again, from the fact that he's used to the physics of this world. He doesn't even need to mine away, which is sort of a shame because he's still curious how she'd respond to that, but also sort of not a shame because he really likes winning. It's a long fight, not like the fight he and Drizzt had in iron, but he's pretty sure he's winning it, even before Guenhwyvar retreats to a corner. He crits her out for another couple seconds before realizing that she's stopped fighting back, at which point he pulls back and starts splashing xp to repair his armor. "GGs," he says, and means it.

"Well done," he says, and it's to both of them, though he is scratching Guen behind the ear, and not doing that to Mapicc. 

"Thank you." Mapicc's a bit out of breath; there's sweat beading on his brow. He's smiling broadly as he pulls out his enderchest to restock his inventory; he's got almost enough to fully replace what he used, but not quite. "If you ever want to do that again, just let me know. Not right away, though, I need to restock."

Drizzt is also smiling. "Guenhwyvar will need to rest too." 

"Do we want to stay here or find somewhere else to hide her?" Mapicc fiddles with his settings. And takes a screenshot of the coords while he's at it. "She doesn't show up on pie chart, at least."

"In my previous world, I could dismiss her, and summon her every second day."

"Do you think that works here?"

"It would be worth it to try." He hopes that it does work this way here, and that by dismissing her now,  he isn't dooming himself never to see her again. He gives her one last skritch, in case. "Go home."

Guenhwyvar bumps his hand with her nose, and dissolves into black mist.

"Holy--

And you'll tell us in two days, if you can summon her again?"

"I'll come back here and test it."

Thumbs up. "Cool, sounds good." Mapicc starts mining a staircase back up to the surface; it'd be faster to make a nether portal, and they are absolutely not lacking in obsidian for one, but if they're going to come back here then it's too big a risk.

Drizzt is definitely not leaving any sign that something happened here. if it's that dangerous for people to find out about Guenhwyvar--

"This could be huge," Roshambo says, on the walk back. "A renewable source of spawn eggs. For something that can come close to beating Mapicc in netherite."

"Unless Parrot finds out and slash clears him."

"It might come back in two days!"

"Or it might not. We don't even know if that works when everything goes normally."

"I guess."
