The Valar announce that they've done as much as they can in Singularity (they can't bring back peoples' babies in that critical period either, but they can get them earlier versions) and are setting up portals between there and Sanity as soon as they are confident they've cleaned up the plague. A bunch of Elf architects have this wild idea for a fivedimensional city where alternating intersections are interdimensional portals between various Valinors and they get eagerly to setting it up.
She is apparently in the middle of rebraiding her hair; half her head is all fluffy. "Hi!"
Miranda lets the silence sit for a bit and then aims the wand Karen made her at her head and resumes chanting, "Plectere plectere plectere plectere." It braids up neatly.
When her hair is all done she says, "Okay, you can't be under a silencing spell or a gag or something, you said hi..."
"- yeah, sorry, I was just having a hard time putting all the words in order. Uh. A week after we met I wrote my father and I said that Miranda was brilliant and had ideas I hadn't thought of for our out-of-class magic experiments and made an alphabet for Igbo and was that how you picked the person you wanted to marry.
