The Valar announce that they've done as much as they can in Singularity (they can't bring back peoples' babies in that critical period either, but they can get them earlier versions) and are setting up portals between there and Sanity as soon as they are confident they've cleaned up the plague. A bunch of Elf architects have this wild idea for a fivedimensional city where alternating intersections are interdimensional portals between various Valinors and they get eagerly to setting it up.
"Then you may require panache. I recommend not going with the 'pine for one hundred Years' approach."
"Yes, I know. I was asking Timothy how to tell her not whether to wait a millenium."
"Well, Timothy probably knows this better than me, if I wanted to hook up with a Bell I'd just wait till it was obvious common knowledge that this was going to happen and then riff on it."
Timothy giggles. "I think you should tell her pretty much exactly what you wrote our father a week after you met her, with some extra compliments on accomplishments since, and ideally then mention you terraformed her a planet where a bunch of the slaves from Godspring have immigrated and does she want to help you administer it but you two are fourteen so that is less obviously a good idea than if you were older."
"I said she was really smart and had good ideas for experiments for a topological map of Hogwarts and invented an alphabet for Igbo and was this how you identified the person you wanted to marry."
"You should tell her that. ...Disclaim the marriage proposal though."
"Also I don't think this is likely to be a problem but if it would really break your stride to know that she has been misleading everyone about her ancestry you should know that going in. She may or may not still be under the impression that you'd care."
"About - oh, blood purity? I thought that was stupid even when I had genes all the time and not just when actively concentrating on them."
"Do you want my guess at her reaction to that or would you rather get it from her."
Cam coughs and does a terrible imitation of Miranda's accent: "Where could I possibly have got the idea that you care who people's grandparents are, I wonder."
"Just if they're terrible! Though. I guess it's not really fair to care about that either."
"Anyway, she did say that was a secret but I am quite confident it was okay to tell you, so now you know."
"I'll keep it one."
And he goes and flies around and does a bunch of medical practicing again and makes three videos of him in aerial playfights with dragons and then goes and knocks on Miranda's door again.
