"We will send you a list. Yes, Knight Morillo, you will be among them."

Ana, who had been bouncing slighly, ceases to bounce, and beams at the kobold.

The kobold grins and nods a thank you to Satele, and then beams back at Ana.

After a moment's indulgence, she returns her attention to the council. "Thank you."

"Do you have anything further to ask of us at this time?"

"I don't know enough of your usual tactics to know what kinds of enspelled things would be most useful to you; the sooner I know that, the sooner I can get started making them."

"Do you need to see live combat, or will observing practice bouts be sufficient?"

"Practice bouts will be fine, thank you."

"We will send to word to our Jedi in the field to attempt to capture a Sith for you to observe, but it may take some time for that to be possible."

Nod. Solemn, now. "Understandable. If I have time in between things, I'll look too."

"Then I declare this Council meeting adjourned. May the Force be with us all."

The kobold bows again, and then turns to go.

"That went well! They didn't threaten to expel you from the Order or anything!"

The kobold laughs. "Yeah, I was really worried about that!"

She starts heading back to the cafeteria.

"Okay so that wouldn't really be a thing for you. But they didn't threaten to expel me either, so I'm calling it a win."

Ana will follow the kobold back to the cafeteria, if that's where she's going.

"It was," she grins. "I think that went very well."

And here they are back at the cafeteria! Because, one, they left that sign up saying to talk to them about the fruit, and two, this seem to the kobold like the kind of thing that's properly worked on in public, not in private. She picks a table that's slightly out of the way but still leaves her quite visible, sits, and pulls out her sketchpad.

"All right. What I said about not knowing much is true, but there's still some obvious stuff. Mobility, for one; how many inhabited planets are there, about, and how helpful would it be for you all to be able to teleport between at least the most populated ones?"

"There's something like half a billion inhabited systems, I think? Not all of those have planets, some are just mining outposts and stuff."

...

"Okay. It might still help for me to give you portals to a few places, but at that scale it'd have to be its own project, and I assume if they want me to do that they'll let me know." She pauses to think. "How are you for communication? Would it be useful to have a way to get messages back here?"

"We've got the HoloNet, that pretty much has galactic coverage, I think. Sometimes a relay gets taken down, but that hurts the Empire just as much as us, so it doesn't happen often. We might be able use a more discreet magical thingy for like, spies and stuff."

She nods, and draws a little sketch to represent this. "The defensive spells I definitely want to offer a version of - one you can turn on and off straightforwardly, and probably a bit more permissive than mine even so, but I'd like the result of an ambush to be a group of Jedi inconvenienced by being teleported home, not a group of Jedi dead. I have a whole set of those, not just the Force one - if I'm too scared, or in too much pain, or losing too much blood, or even startled particularly badly, they get me out of there."

"It's not quite the same for Jedi. Our role is often that of protector. Teleporting out of an ambush is sometimes not an option, we have to stay and deal with the problem. And going all the way back to Tython might place innocents in more danger."

"Right, but if you're doing that you'd know, and you could turn it off."

"It would be easy to tell whether it's on or off, right?"

Nod. "It's a little more complicated to set up that way, but yeah, I can do that - give you a visual thing kind of like my magic-vision, for a few seconds every time it changes and then also whenever you want to check if it's on. Or all the time, if someone wants it that way, but I wouldn't recommend it, it'd be distracting."

"I don't think there should be a constant thing, but definitely an easy way to check."

Nod. "How I usually do it for myself is that if I want something on, it's on, and if I want it off, it's off - if it's already on and I want it on it just stays, and same with it being off, and I've never actually wanted to check in addition to that."
