"I think my mums are coming!"

Before he even says that the Morrígan is gone and has dragged the other children underwater.

Mary and Sibohan do indeed walk over. "You sounded like you were talking to someone, love." 

"There were some mer kids!" That is technically the truth.

The mer kids are allowed up if they so desire.

At the moment they are poking and prodding the strange new child. While most of them have dolphin like flukes, one has legs.

She will allow them.

The legged child is particularly proddy. 

...okay that is enough prodding please step away from the angel child.

He is surprised to find himself unable to prod. He decides to go up and talk to the people on the boat. Maybe they'll know about the lizard monster and the angel. 

Does he actually speak English? Or does anyone on that boat speak mer?

He can speak English, for he is in fact half human. 

Then he will also find himself unable to go up there.

He squeaks in protest.

<Maurice says we should be secret.>

The boy raises a questioning eyebrow. Aside from the weird voice inside of his head that sounds like his own thoughts, he does not know who this Maurice person is.

<The boy on the boat,> she clarifies.

"Who are you?" the boys says in mer. 

<I am the Morrígan.>

"What's that?"

<My name.>

"But what are you?"

<The Morrígan.>

He rolls his eyes. "And what is that?"

<Me.>
