He humphs. "Because Maurice will be back soon anyway and his house is nice. And he wants us to be a secret, and boats do not have much room for secrets."

<You have never seen a boat.>

And there's the ocean.

"Oooh. Drop me in there."

"Wheeee...." Splash! 

Ocean is fun. 

She can keep track of him and if he dawdles too much she'll drag him along.

He's swimming at speeds far outpacing any other animal. 

She can keep track, and tug him this way or that towards the boat.

He is also generating enormous waves with his powers. And now suddenly there are three of him. 

Yes she knew this would happen. Nudge nudge.

On the boat, Maurice's mothers are fishing. Meanwhile, Maurice is trying to spot mer.

Eventually they're close enough that the Morrígan can land on the boat, not in Maurice's moms' eyesight but in his.

He sputters a bit in surprise, before taking a puff from his inhaler. 

"What are you doing here?" he whispers.

<Standing.>

"Don't be silly. You need to be a secret! Did something happen at the house?"

<No.>

"Then why did you come here?"

<Because then no one is separate.>
