Despite himself, Maurice grins. "Does he breathe underwater?"

<Yes.>

"Um, aren't you going to get sunburnt standing there in your..." he decides to use Siobhan's word for it, "all together? My mums make me put sunscreen on when I am."  

<I do not get sunburnt.>

"Oh, that's cool. You alright?"

<Yes.>

"But you should hide before my mums see you."

<I can see the future. They will not see me.>

"What if they come over here?"

<I will be gone before they come.>

"Gone where?"

<Underwater.>

"You can breathe underwater, too?"

<I do not need to breathe.>

"I wish I was like you and Levi."

<I do not have human senses.>

"What?"

<I am blind and deaf and cannot sense things I touch or smell or taste things.>

He is very sad to hear it. Tears are welling in his eyes, even. "I'm sorry."

<I am not impaired by this.>

"I'm confused."
