"Wakey, wakey, sleepy Nemo."

At this, the Tabby cat bites his toe.

"Oh, shush."

"You snore."

"Oh, shush."

"I think it's nice. Like a sleeping dragon with digestion problems."

"We're heading into the gnarled woods today, yes? I should finish the new batch of stinging powder."

"Yes. Oh, and apparently I'm a special chosen person."

"Suuuure."

"But I am! A floaty frog thing told me while you guys were asleep."

"Good one! I'll have to use it some time."

"You're just jealous because I'm double magic."

"If you say so."

"You're not going to wimp out in the forest today, are you?"

"I don't have direct fighting skills, you know. You can't use up a sword like my burn powder. I'll help if it's needed."

"He is a sneaky weasel," she says admiringly.

"Don't be so mean to weasels."

Nemo just laughs.

"Weasels are my favourite."

"Weasels can't properly think, but I suppose they can be funny."

"And soft and furry."

"One of the primary features of cats, hmm..."

And now cat-Tabby is leaping into his arms.

He flusters a bit, but manages to not drop her. "Now what was that about?"

She licks him.

He attempts to put the cat down without jostling it very much.
